Community Healthcare Network is seeking for a Full-Time Ophthalmic Technician to support our Optometrists by providing acuity screenings and diagnostic eye tests.
JOB FUNCTION:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide quality eye care services to patients.
Perform spectacle skills, visual acuity and diagnostic tests, AB-scan, Fundus photography, Visual Field, OCT and Pachymetry.
Complete documentation of all patient care.
Participate in the development of departmental policies.
Ensure proper professional conduct for optimum patient care delivery.
Promptly address patient concerns.
Responsible for accurate and timely billing and coding.
Ensure compliance with Ophthalmic clinical practice standards
Maintaining active licenses and all continuing education requirements for licensure
Facilitates related services for health center patients as appropriate with respect to their confidentiality and privacy.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
Associate Degree, which includes course work in a Bio-Medical Technician field, and three years of experience in the appropriate bio-medical technician field in an approved hospital or health facility; or
High School graduate or GED equivalent, and four years of experience in the appropriate bio-medical technical field in an approved hospital or health facility; or
Current Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification preferred.
