Positions Details:

Reliant Medical Group, a Part of Optum

Location: 24 Newton St, Southborough, MA

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday

Specialty: Eye Services

• No experience necessary

• We pay for the Home Study Test and study prep book upfront

• We reimburse the employee for the Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) exam with proof of a passing grade and receipt of payment

Primary Responsibilities:

• The Ophthalmic Assistant performs a variety of duties involving basic vision testing

• Assists physician/optometrist in the examination and treatment of patients by performing routine vision tests

• Assists the physician/optometrist with routine clinical/diagnostic procedures and other related duties

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPR/BLS certification

• Completion of JCAHPO, written exam for certification for COA and maintain active status

• Experience working in sterile field set up and assisting with minor surgical procedures

• Knowledge of various software applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.

• General computer skills or knowledge

• Demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

• Proven ability to show proficiency within 9 months through the competency evaluative process
