Responsible for performing basic work-up on patients, including manifest refractions, in the Comprehensive Ophthalmology Clinic or Optometry Clinic. B...Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma required, some college or degree preferred; COA or COT preferred

Required Minimum Experience: 1 - 2 years in healthcare environment

A combination of experience, education, and/or training which substantially demonstrates the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Familiar with EMR System
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Punctual and reliable
Ability to multitask, possess organizational skills and attention to detail
Conscientious about triage and escalation of issues
Excellent typing skills at least 45 wpm with accuracy
Proficient in listening and understanding abilities, willingness to learn on the job
Familiar with diagnostic codes
Empathetic personality and demonstrates concern for patients' needs
Communicate and coordinate with team clinic workflow
Work collegially with all team members
Knowledge and comprehension of basic medical terminology and anatomy, and the principles of optics, refraction, and contact lenses; demonstrates familiarity with optical equipment
