De La Pena Eye Clinic is hiring a Fulltime Ophthalmic Technician / Ophthalmic Assistant to join our growing and busy office in Montebello, CA.

Please note the pay range for this position is $18-$22/hr.

About the Opportunity

Working Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, you have the opportunity to join a multi-site, multispecialty, state of the art group of providers that was founded in 1984. Over the past four decades DLP Eye Clinic has treated more than 400,000 patients! Some Saturday availability from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm is required, and there is frequently an opportunity for overtime.

Ophthalmic Technicians do tasks that the eye care provider can delegate to others. In addition to gathering historical medical information, they take measurements and perform ancillary tests that provide the doctor with the information needed to arrive at a diagnosis and to prescribe treatment. They also assist with documentation and patient services. Some Ophthalmic Technicians perform diagnostic test and assist with in-office procedures.

Travel to other De La Pena Eye Clinic sites may be required, although infrequent, throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
