Your role at Baxter:

The position will work collaboratively with employees and the management team to implement operational improvements that focus on improving quality, productivity, labor, and cost saving efficiencies. He/She ensures that initiatives are being developed and implemented consistently across the site for continually improving key performance indicators. They shall be a change agent, never satisfied with the status quo. Initiates action, overcomes obstacles, makes progress and drives a process or project from start to finish as an individual or within a team to achieve acceptable results.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leads, facilitates and performs OpEx activities within manufacturing and functional groups

  • Performs company OpEx strategy associated with implementation of lean systems, in fast paced environments

  • Works as part of a multi-functional group to implement lean principles

  • Coordinates and helps administer Training & Development

  • Facilitates short and long term OpEx initiatives

  • Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods to reduce cost and improve quality

  • Responsible for assisting in the execution of plant site goals

  • Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency

  • Develops complete project plans including resources, costs, benefits and schedules.

  • Participates in projects to ensure goals are met on time

  • Communicates project status to collaborators as appropriate and follows up to ensure project results are sustained

  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions

  • Applies problem solving techniques to resolve both customer and internal quality issues for manufactured products.

  • Works to build and maintain a safe work environment.

What you'll bring:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • B.S in Engineering preferred
  • Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with lean concepts and tools. Digital literacy (MS Office, MS windows, Email, ERP).
  • Familiar with and experience in lean fundamentals
  • Lean Basics, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, Standard Work, Problem Solving, Handling for Daily Improvement (MDI), etc.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Proficient in English and Spanish languages (oral and written).

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures and regulations. Excellent communication skills within all organizational levels (internal and external).

  • Ability to communicate, read, write and understand English/Spanish languages.
