Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for loading and unloading products

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with blending of products

• Load/Unload base oil, transfer oil

• Connect heat to rail cars, unload rail cars

• Responsible for flow of drums

• Responsible for boiler operations

• Gauge tanks, note readings

• Must be physically capable of working in uncomfortable weather conditions and occasional long hours and be flexible in work schedule

• Have the ability to lift moderately heavy objects

• Understand leverage and simple machines

• Perform all job functions using required personal protective equipment(PPE), and adhering to all safety and environmental guidelines as defined by Martin Safety policies

• All other duties assigned

Job Requirements EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Must have a High school diploma or GED / Trade school a plus

• Minimum 4 years' Experience

• Must have TWIC card.

• Must have good driving record

• Stands and walks up to 75% of shift in all weather conditions.

• Climbs vertical ladders to top of tanks to repair lighting, instruments, and etc. Stooping, kneeling, crouching, turning/ twisting, bending-at-the-waist motions, and eye-hand coordination skills utilized frequently.

• Uses foot hand eye coordination when operating forklift, golf cart, or pickup truck.

• Communicates verbally, with hand signals, two-way radio, with drivers, work groups, and by phone with supervisors. Normal vision and hearing used for communication, safety, and paperwork completion.

• Hazards include working with acids, caustic, ammonia, sulfur, high pressures,

• flammables, heavy equipment, semi-cramped quarters, heat/cold, and working at several different heights, on walkways, ladders, and etc.

• Hard hat, safety glasses with side shields, face shield, long sleeves, and steel-toed boots worn outside office; rubber steel-toed boots, and appropriate protective clothing, chemical splash goggles, gloves, hearing protection, and respirator worn as needed.
