  • OWNS SAFETY: EP Energy Lease Operators will conduct their operations safely and be ambassadors for safety throughout the field with EP Energy employees, contractors, vendors, and service providers. They will take a stand for doing the right thing and will stop the job if a hazard is suspected. Operators will have safety conversations and they will be expected to submit HSER Trackers on a regular basis.

  • OWNS PRODUCTION: EP Energy Operators will understand the many variables that can impact a field's productivity, be knowledgeable of industry standards and techniques, and bring new and innovative ideas to the table to maximize production volumes and minimize downtime. He/she will know the production targets for their route(s) and hold themselves and their peers accountable to meeting or exceeding them.

  • OWNS COSTS: The successful candidate will know what is being spent in their route(s) every day and in every category, and he/she will clearly and regularly communicate Lease Operating Expense spending data to their Supervisor. They will also work under the direction of their Supervisor to effectively control costs to deliver the production safely and maintain the integrity of our assets. The Lease Operator will be expected to adopt and promote a culture of spending every dollar as if it is coming out of their own pocket.

  • Conduct effective well surveillance; monitor, troubleshoot, and correct well issues to maximize production and eliminate downtime

  • Use SCADA and XSPOC to identify wells off trend to prioritize day by production impact

  • Operate/maintain wells to optimize production rates and control costs

  • Perform thorough operations and maintenance checks on all production facility equipment related to assigned route

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on all equipment or report to Supervisor if assistance is needed.

  • Gauge oil and water tanks for accurate volumes and witness random oil sales to verify accurate run ticket gauges

  • Check and maintain valve seals on oil tanks and keep seal log

  • Accurately record production and injection reports at the end of each day and enter into EVIN

  • Communicate daily with Supervisor to discuss HSER, production variances and daily activity

  • Conduct production test on comingled tank batteries regularly, as directed by Supervisor, and enter well test into EVIN

  • Utilize POC's for production performance and pump efficiency (If applicable)

  • Keep all production facilities clean and orderly. Inspect secondary containments for integrity and equipment for leaks on each site visit

  • Maintain assigned vehicle and keep in good working condition. This includes regular oil changes and keeping vehicle clean both inside and out

  • Demonstrate clear leadership qualities such as flexibility, cooperation, positive attitude, good judgment and strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Operate/maintain compression equipment to optimize runtime & efficiency

  • Operate/maintain dehydrator to meet gas quality requirements

  • Operate/maintain water disposal systems in accordance with regulatory requirements

  • Operate gathering pipelines monitor pressure, perform ROW surveillance, assist with water removal by pigging of line or draining pipeline drips

  • Operate/maintain fluid/gas separation and associated equipment

  • Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and procedures

  • Understand and interpret test results from dynamometer, Echo meter, and POC's

  • Observe facilities, equipment, pipeline ROW throughout their daily rounds. Report and mitigate all spills, leaks and other needed repairs

  • Gauge, sample, and carefully record all pertinent information needed in evaluating production conditions in the field

  • Interface effectively with Production Engineers: Help bring engineering/theoretical concepts to life by providing hands-on operational and practical knowledge

  • Request, understand, and support construction activity in assigned area

  • Request, understand, and support workover operations in assigned area

  • Assure field tickets and invoices are accurate and true prior to signing/approving

VIEW JOBS 4/12/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-11T00:00 Position Overview: Leads a one to five person rig crew while safely operating well servicing or drilling rig components. This is a safety sensitive position. Reports to: Field Supervisor-Rigs, Toolpusher Directs Reports: Floorhand, Derrickhand Major duties: * Ensures all crew members are at the rig and prepared to work at the scheduled time * Determines how a service job will be performed based on specific conditions at the well * Performs routine operating functions and trouble shooting on all equipment with direction from operation personnel as well as the client company representative * Operates the drawworks and assesses down hole conditions and well pressures * Lifts, removes, or installs production equipment as required * Handles jack stands, matting boards and assists in securing the guy wires * Provides operating reports to the Field Supervisor-Rigs or Toolpusher * Tests and monitors equipment using correct procedures * Trains and directs the crew on safety and job procedures * Establishes daily maintenance program for the rig * Oversees the setting up, taking down, and transportation of drilling and service rigs * Drives servicing rig as necessary to job site * May be requested to work outside of normal work schedule to meet customer needs * Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications and Skills Required: * Knowledge of basic mechanical functions * Previous operation and safety experience as Derrickhand or Floorhand * Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as background check Preferred: * High school diploma, GED or equivalent education * Class B CDL * Level 1 Well Control Certification Physical Requirements: * Position requires long periods of standing * Ability to climb stairs and/or ladders * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Typical working conditions and hazards: * Work is performed in all weather conditions * Able to perform duties with protective equipment, H2S respirator where required * Potential hazards include working near or with heavy tools and moving machinery * Potential exposure to loud noises, airborne toxins, solvents, flammable atmospheres and industrial chemicals Note: * This is a safety sensitive position.
