DEPARTMENT: Wastewater Treatment Facility

HOURS WORKED: 2nd Shift, Monday Friday (2:45p 10:45p)

AFFILIATION: AFSCME

STARTING SALARY: Hourly rate not to exceed $26.86 plus $0.30 shift differential - Job Grade 5

PRIMARY DUTIES

Responsible for all duties and assignments related to the daily operations of a 16 MGD wastewater treatment facility, including sample collection, equipment operation, grit removal, chemical preparation, process review, maintenance of buildings, machinery and grounds, odor control system operation, SCADA review and operation, sludge dewatering and conditioning, tank cleaning, assistance to maintenance personnel, chemical feed adjustments, secondary by-pass operation, anaerobic digester operation, calibration of process equipment, process control, etc.; other related duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience; must possess a Grade II NH Operator Certificate; High school diploma or certified equivalent, plus 1 year additional schooling in Wastewater Process.

D Shift works Wednesday, 12am - 6am and Thursday - Saturday 6pm - 6am Specific duties include: * Responsible for operating HAAS CNC machine * Responsible for loading & unloading parts * Responsible for changing offsets in the machine if needed * Responsible for properly loading programs to the machines * Responsible for tool changes & setting tools * Responsible for supporting and reporting issues to team lead/supervisor * Follows all processes and procedures during the shift, escalates problem areas to shift team lead/supervisor as appropriate * Responsible for maintaining a neat and organized production area consistent with RAMP housekeeping standards * Ensure jobs are run in a timely manner to ensure on-time delivery * Able to read blueprints and use measuring tools to ensure correct tolerances * Responsible for quick turnaround of parts and accuracy within established guidelines * Responsible for working in a safe manner consistent with RAPID policies * Responsible for ensuring completion of operator PMs during shift * Self-starter capable of dealing with a variety of tasks in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment Minimum Qualifications: * Excellent problem-solving skills * Good communication skills - ability to interpret and explain written and statistical data * High standard of attention to detail * Solid commitment to customer or employee service * Ability to manage time and prioritize work in an effective manner * Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills * Demonstrates a high degree of confidentiality * Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and continuously improve methods, approaches, and departmental contribution while being cost-sensitive * Commitment to continuous learning * Knowledge of Machining in a prototype manufacturing setting or related experience and education * Ability to strive in an environment of constant change * Familiarity with the tools of the trade Microsoft Office suite of products, SolidWorks, CAD/CAM Education Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent degree All Proto Labs facilities in the United States are ITAR-compliant operations.
