The Garland Team is seeking a Operator on First(1st) shift.

Responsibilities
Position: Operator
Shift: First (1st)
Pay: $21.34 hourly
Essential Duties:
Interpret Aerospace industry prints with assistance.
Operate hydraulic forge presses.
Use of inspection tools and techniques.
Set proper oven urn temperature by alloy.
Evaluate set-up to reconcile against quality standards.
Verify correct oven and die temperatures.
Monitor production run to verify quality and production std.
Use of all pyrometer equipment.
Process control through use of SPC
Make set-up on presses he/she operates.
Understands and follows all applicable S.O.I.
Reconcile material against job traveler.
Qualifications
Skills and qualifications required including but not limited to the following:
High school education or equivalent combination of experience
At least six (6) months experience in press line operations preferred
Requires the ability of operating hydraulic forge presses.
Requires working knowledge of open and close die forging operations.
Requires a working knowledge of proper die lubrication to achieve correct metal flow during forge operation.
Requires being proficient with the CIMA system at performing job related tasks to assure correct labor & manufacturing reporting.
Requires die forging process knowledge and teamwork ability for continuous improvements.
Requires following and setting example of all safety rules related to employees work area.
High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience
Work Environment:
Elevated temperatures, thick smoke, dirt and grease.
Physically able to lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Handling materials up to 900 degrees with proper tools.
High paced production environment to meet standards.
