Your Impact

Directly supervise the coordination and production of operating workers through monitoring quality control, production efficiency, and timely completion of associated products as assigned.

What You'll Do

  • Assemble product as required utilizing small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measurement equipment, microscopes, and test fixtures.

  • Identify and communicate any safety, quality, process issues or concerns as needed.

  • Maintain controlled environment integrity by using proper attire and adherence to controlled environment practices and procedures

  • Recognize and report any unacceptable materials and/or sub-assemblies to engineering and/or supervisor.

  • Responsible for quality of work and adhering to manufacturing methods

  • Work with supervisors, engineers and technicians to resolve line issues and suggest improvements.

  • Be familiar with the terminology used in the production area.

  • Participate in lean activities and 7S improvement efforts.

  • Understand and demonstrate Lean manufacturing techniques and principles.

  • Coach and provide guidance to others on manufacturing processes and standard operating procedures.

  • Drive, track, and report team metrics daily

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to continue advancing business processes

  • YODA Mentor Associate for newly promoted and existing Leads

What You Bring

  • Production and Processing
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Mechanical
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Systems Evaluation
  • Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
  • Operation Monitoring
  • Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Management of Personnel Resources
  • Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates
  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Coaching and Developing Others
  • Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
  • Making Decisions and Solving Problems
  • Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Documenting/Recording Information
  • Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.

Work environment:

  • Pace Determined by Speed of Equipment.

  • Wear Common Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection, Hard Hats on occasion.

Physical demands:

  • Coordinate or Lead Others.

  • Spend Time Using Your Hands to Handle, Control, or Feel Objects, Tools, or Controls.

  • Ability to stand for upwards of 12 hours a day; as well as lift, carry, move packages and materials up-to-50 lbs on a regular basis; with or without special accommodation, is required

The pay: Axon's hourly pay philosophy is made up of base pay and bonus. The starting hourly pay for this role is USD 23.08 in the lowest geographic market and USD 34.62 in the highest geographic market. The actual hourly pay is dependent upon many factors such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
