Position Summary and Special Duties -

The Operator assigned to the Molding Dept. will be the primary person responsible for the Crew they are assigned. The Operator will need strong critical thinking skills to be able to act with minimal supervision. Will have to interact with the crew assigned to.

A strong understanding of computers (Microsoft Office) will be required to compile reports and to document the GMP process.

  • The Operator will be responsible for achieving the production goals set for the cell. This includes but not limited to all process checks and GMP records associated with the checks and with shipping of the product.

  • Quality checks will be done with the aid of a Smart Scope and other gaging such as drop indicators, comparator, etc. Ability to interpret control plan requirements such as specifications, work instructions is essential. All readings will be record into the batch records.

  • The Operator must have experience on the basics of injection molding equipment and its operation.

  • A strong mechanical background is desired as the Operator will be asked to be able to do basic trouble shooting and to communicate with the mechanics and the engineering group any machine issues. Must have a working knowledge of variety of hand tools and will be asked to do color changes and work with the toolroom to communicate mold issues.

  • The position will require climbing, bending and working underneath machines. Lifting up to 30lbs is a requirement.

  • The Operator must be able to be certified on tow-motor operation along with power industrial trucks. Periodic health and drug testing is a requirement.

  • The Operator will be held responsible of the 5s standards set in place and the continued 5s improvements within the cell area.

Additional Duties:

  • Performs first piece measurements and visuals.

  • Ensure that all finished goods leaving the department are properly tagged, logged, and in proper condition.

  • Prepare all necessary daily paperwork, including housekeeping and safety tasks.

  • Monitor low inventory levels on the floor and move inventory to machine and ensure that machines continuously run. Ensure that PDN's are current and being followed.

  • Assist Techs with maintenance of the silver book and ensure that they are current.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Position Summary and Special Duties Operate all Blade Finishing equipment and perform other related blade finishing operations including: Sputter process, Spray treatment, Cure, Post cure inspection, automation and general blade handling. * Be capable of filling in for all key areas in blade finishing. Duties include: visual and microscopic inspection of blades, monitoring of machines and set up and operation of equipment, etc. * Record necessary information on Blade Finishing process sheets and maintain daily production reports as required by the position. * Produce quality work, practice safety standards and maintain production standards. * Be able to stand for up to 10 hours a shift while sorting parts, transferring blades or operating equipment. * Be able to move (push, pull, or otherwise manipulate) materials up to 30 lbs. into position. * Be capable of performing detailed manipulation with hands to inspect and sort product. * Provide ad hoc assistance when necessary throughout the department. * Be capable of certifying in all areas of the position. * Notify supervision of any problems that could affect quality or productivity. * Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
