Operations/Accounts Receivable Intern

Overview

HealthDrive is seeking an enthusiastic Operations/Accounts Receivable Intern to join our team! We are looking for someone who can be in-office for this summer internship for 16 to 40 hours per week.

We are conveniently located off of Route 9 in Framingham, Massachusetts, close to routes 90 and 495 in a spacious modern office with a workout center available right in the building!

HealthDrive delivers on-site dentistry, optometry, podiatry, audiology, behavioral health, and primary care services to residents in long-term care, skilled nursing, and assisted living facilities. Each specialty offered by HealthDrive is one that directly impacts the quality of daily life for the deserving residents we serve. The pay rate for this role is $16.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Performing data entry, insurance verification, reviewing medical records and documentation

• Opening and sorting mail & hearing aids/eyeglasses/dentures that come in for repair

• Completion of mailing projects

• Labeling of received faxed documents

• Scanning paper documentation received

• Researching returned mail addresses

• Checking voicemails and answering service messages

• Call center coverage

• Compiling paperwork electronically from HealthDrive systems and efaxing packets for authorization

• Generating invoices and emailing them to facility partners.

• Researching denied authorizations and coordinating with other departments on outcomes.

• Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Physical requirements:

• Ability to sit for long periods of time.

• Ability to use office equipment such as computer, phone, fax, and copier. Microsoft Office experience preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally for duties related to office work.

Education requirement: high school diploma or equivalent.
