As the Operations Transportation Manager you will bring an analytical and problem solving approach and provide data driven decisions and solutions to Operations in regard to freight related issues. You will also be responsible the day to day transportation duties. You will play an important part in ensuring process is being followed and will act as a liaison between various departments.

The schedule for this role is:

Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Pay Range:

$95,000 to $121,000

The Must Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain logistics in a leadership role with inventory and distribution process knowledge

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related major a plus

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel

  • Must have physical ability to carry out essential job functions, including but not limited to, sitting for long periods of time, occasionally walking and standing, climbing ladders/stairs, and tolerating conditions such as dust, dirt, noise, odors, heat, cold, etc. when stepping into the warehouse

Responsible for Daily Transportation Operations

  • Oversee daily transportation operations, ensuring timely and efficient freight handling needs.

  • Prepare facilities for peak volumes with projections and carrier communication.

  • Monitor and address transportation-related issues, ensuring quick resolution to avoid service disruptions.

  • Solidify strong relationships with key partners and ensure service levels are met.

  • Supervise transportation team members, including Transportation Coordinators.

Responsible for working with teams on identifying items and shipments with incorrect dimensions

  • Reviews item dimension and weights exception reports and determines if updates to item dimensions or weights needs to be made.

  • Coordinates and verifies updates are completed timely and accurately in Aspire.

  • Maintains an issues log of data gathered to address accordingly.

  • Works closely with DC Management to address user errors and support in training users.

Responsible for coordinating with supporting teams on issue resolution

  • Utilizes reporting tools available (Power BI, Aspire, others) and obtains current shipment issues from the Freight Reconciliation team that pertain to operational processes both systemic and manual. With this data, coordinates the resolution and approval of rebills and provides final direction to the freight reconciliation team on disposition of the rebill.

  • Lead weekly meeting to communicate pertinent operational freight updates between Finance, Freight Rec and Business Development.

  • Liaises with and proposes to Business Development any suggested carrier system changes. Communicates final changes to Operations and Finance.

  • Reviews daily freight PowerBI reports to identify potential rebill and unmatched PIN issues in a timely fashion.

  • Works with DC Management to communicate rebill errors. Creates and helps implement short and long term SOPs that prevent error recurrence.

  • Participates and supports on client calls regarding freight rebills and other freight charges.

  • Provides feedback to DC Management, Freight Reconciliation, and Business Development teams on status of freight issues.

Responsible for leading a Team

  • Ensures that all NRI safety rules and safe job procedures are followed.

  • Follow security protocol for the warehouse and facility.

  • Participates and assists in the stay at work and return to work programs.
