Position Summary

The role of the Sr. Operations Live Auctions Trainer will be focused on the training and development of our Live Auctions Team. This role will require from 30-50% travel all over the continental United States, and will require that the individual be able work independently with little direct supervision. The role will partner with our both our People and Business Development team as well as our Live Auction Operations team.

The role will be ensuring that all employees have a strong understanding of their role, and are responsible for updating and maintaining all current and new training for the teams they are working with.

The Sr. Operations trainers will ensure that all employees have thorough knowledge of the products offered by Auction.com, and are able to help customers to overcome objections, and use consultative selling techniques to teach our customers about the products we offer. Conduct ongoing training for all skill levels, including basic sales skills, as well as advanced sales techniques. Partner with business unit in their sales initiatives.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Provide support with staff performance consulting as requested by business unit leadership to increase staff efficiency and staff development training needs

  • Incorporate key performance metrics into training modules and participate in strategic initiatives

  • Analyze training needs, identify cross training opportunities, and identify staff performance gaps

  • Mentor and train staff on learning and development tools to increase staff efficiency and uniformity within a business unit

  • Design and develop training materials to increase learners' retention and align training programs with strategic initiatives

  • You will be required to develop content for multiple training initiatives

  • Identify when there is an opportunity in the field, build content, and implement strategic training initiatives to scale nationwide

  • Deliver presentations in front of large groups of people and facilitate employee training in large groups

  • Responsible for training regional staff and training materials

  • Maintain training database and course correspondence with all staff company-wide

  • Mentor and develop skills of a diverse group of individuals according to their learning abilities

  • Conduct training programs for various sales groups on sales skills, sales management skills and other sales related content as needed

  • Develop training strategies and tools and resources to include; lesson plans, learner guides/resources, instructor guides, quizzes, online resources, blogs and other communications

  • Prepare new sales representatives by conducting orientation to sales process; providing resources and assistance; scheduling orientation with senior representatives

  • Must be willing to travel 30-50% of the month

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with Addie/SAM instructional design model

  • E-Learning creation experience an asset

  • Strong MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Visio

  • Knowledge of effective instruction, teaching principles, and techniques

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience

  • Working with remote staff is a positive
