The Operations Trainer builds and enhances the skills and competencies of individual employees by designing and conducting training programs that will boost employees workplace performance. They are responsible for performing training needs assessments, designing and delivering curriculum and learning materials and for managing all phases of training interventions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

The Operations Trainer will design, develop, deliver, and maintain internal training programs and materials for new and existing home office employees

They will deliver/facilitate sessions on technology systems, operational processes and procedures, essential skill (soft-skill) programs, operational best practices, and corporate initiatives

Delivery methods include: one-on-one, classroom, teleconferencing, web-based training, and on-demand training.

They will coordinate and manage our on-the-job training in conjunction with the operations management team.

They will work with management from different departments within the home office on new projects conducting needs analysis and develop training plans/materials that coincides with the launch of the new program or enhancements.

They will partner with the operations management team to develop, implement, and maintain measurement tools of training effectiveness.

The Operations Trainer will stay current and proficient on new policy and procedures of Advisor Group

Other duties /subject matter may be assigned as business needs dictate.

Other Skills & Requirements:

Minimum of 2-3 years adult instructional experience in a technical environment (financial industry experience a plus but not required).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in effective adult instructional techniques. Proven experience developing curriculum based on these techniques in a technical environment preferred.

Proven experience in the development of training material and documentation.

Proficient computer skills. (e.g. MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Internet)

Instructional design experience a plus

Proficient with designing coursework utilizing Articulate Storyline or Camtasia is a plus.

Ability to multi-task in a face-paced environment

Ability to travel as needed

Education And/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
