The Commissary Vending Representative is responsible for servicing and maintaining vending machines on the facility grounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fill vending machines; ensuring machines are full and product is properly rotated.
Maintain and clean vending machines.
Take readings off machines.
Count money from vending machine and make bank deposits.
Keep manager informed of supplies needed.
Maintain records of discarded product and report to management.
Maintain inventory in all vending machines.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands, reach, talk and hear. The employee will occasionally be required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, taste or smell. The employee will need close, distance, and peripheral vision in addition to the ability to adjust focus and have depth perception. The employee will often be required to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift more than 100 lbs.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and be at risk of electrical shock. The noise level is moderate.
Ability to drive motor vehicles.
Must pass background, credit, motor vehicle records, and drug checks
Must qualify for correctional facility security clearance.
