The Operations Team Leader primarily oversees the closing operations of the store with complete responsibility for the store during evening hours, including wall to wall store conditions and proper closing. The Operations Team Leader also fills in for the Store Team Leader and Assistant Store Team Leader in their absence. The Operations Team Leader can demonstrate excellent leadership skills, the ability to drive for results, and has great attention to detail. Responsibilities

A Operations Team Leader is a responsible, strategic leader who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent leadership. An Operations Team Leader is a key cog in the leadership structure, will truly drive store operations, and will assist in leading all Team Members throughout the store

An Operations Team Leader responsibilities include

  • Leading, training, coaching, and communicating with all Team Members

  • Operating a register and accurately handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change

  • Assisting all customers by providing information and resolving any complaints

  • Planning, merchandising and maintaining abundant store displays

  • Maintaining Safety and Sanitation standards throughout the store

  • Developing future leaders

  • Ensure compliance with all company and store policies and procedures (and thus compliance with all state and federal laws applicable to this industry).

  • Enabling a high-performing team through effective evening scheduling, efficient task assignment, recognition, fun, performance management and accountability. This includes documentation and performance evaluations.

  • Working primarily night shifts, with occasional day and morning shifts

  • All other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Desired qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 5 years or more of retail industry experience with 1 or more years of leadership experience with a staff of 5 or more preferred

  • Friendly and customer service oriented. Interest in food and cooking a plus.

  • Must display exceptional leadership skills; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Previous leadership experience required

  • Self-motivated, with a high attention to detail, quality and presentation

  • Skills to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers

  • Ability to work independently, effectively manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to read, understand and follow through on verbal and written directions

  • Ability to reliably meet required work schedule and adhere to company attendance policy

Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for an extended period:

Standing, Sitting, Lifting + Stocking (Up to 50 lbs.), Pushing, Keyboarding, Telephone Use, Walking, Bending

Must be 18 years of age

If you answered "YES" to those questions, you are the type of person we are looking for to join our Health, Safety and Loss Prevention team at our OSHA Regulated Operations. The Loss Control Rep provides leadership and direction in HSLP programs to achieve zero harm. This is a unique position to mining as this Loss Control Representative will be supporting Newmont's OSHA regulated sites including TS Power Plant, Elko Warehouse, Elko Land and Livestock Company, and the Jayhawk Terminal. Essential Duties * Work with the management teams at each site to develop and progress each sites risk-based Health and Safety management system framework consistent with the Newmont HS policy and practices. * Provide oversight of industrial hygiene, emergency response and contractor management for the OSHA sites, in collaboration with the Regional HSS team. * Ensure the sites health and safety investigations are good quality and lead to actions that will minimize the event from occurring again. Manage any injuries that occur on sites in a consistent way via established processes. * Understand and translate the impacts of health and safety regulations and provide oversight for legal compliance issues that may affect Newmont programs and advice the management teams on the application of sound Health, Safety and Loss prevention principles and practices in support of corporate values and objectives. * Ensure site management maintains accurate chemical SDS lists, OSHA 300A injury logs and end of year electronic injury reporting. * Assist site management team with scheduling and conducting monthly safety meetings and safety committee inspections ensuring any actions generated are acted upon timely. * Coordinate annual mandated Emergency Preparedness Training with Newmont Response Team Coordinators and ensure annual power plant maintenance outages have adequate response capabilities. * Work with the management teams to ensure they are meeting the corporate and regional expectations like the fatal risk management and safety interactions. * Work with the management team to develop an annual safety and health action plan each year to progress them along their safety journey. * Help drive outside the box thinking with in a challenging industry to make ELLCo one of the top safety agricultural operations. * Major "can do" attitude is a must! * Work with the management teams to ensure they are meeting the corporate and regional expectations like the fatal risk management and safety interactions. * Ability to effectively lead and influence through the business hierarchy * Think outside the box to identify health and safety improvement opportunities in non mining context.
