Position Summary: The OSTET-Wellness is directly responsible for new store training and sales success. Duties also include managing day to day training and developing new store Wellness Managers as well as setting up department for success. Overall responsibilities include communicating assigned department's Standard Operating Procedures; meeting and exceeding financial goals including gross profit, shrink, sales, labor and department over-head. Position is fast paced and requires up to 100% travel.

Essential Functions

  • Operational Tasks: Ordering and receiving deliveries; scheduling; checking daily and weekly sales/movement reports, shrink reports, emails and responding accordingly; conducting quarterly department inventory. Continually find ways to reduce expenses.

  • Merchandising: Implementation of all company policies, procedures, and merchandising programs.

  • Training & Development: Help maintain a positive, safe and risk free work environment. Ensures all team/staff are following Earth Fare standards and training initiatives. Communicates standard operating procedures, merchandising guidelines, and financial goals to Team Members, with strong emphasis on customer service, safety and sanitation. Assists Wellness Manager with interviews, selects, trains, and supports Team Members with the goal of developing new leaders in department. Maintains a positive and professional work environment. Clearly defines and communicates expectations to Team Members.

  • Sales: Responsible for helping stores with sales, profit, and presentation in assigned department. Responsible for helping out on store level with all aspects of managing the department from shrink control to sales growth.

  • Department Conditions: Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and overall organization of the department including all fixtures, storage, work stations, freezers, and coolers.

  • Communication: Daily communication with store level personnel and Director of New Store Openings and New Store Opening Team Leader.

  • Excellent written communication and documentation skills.

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills for dealing cross-functionally with peers and senior management.

  • Must be able to lead, support and contribute to team goals.

  • Must be able to travel on an on-going basis (up to 90%).

  • Must have a valid driver's license and/or be responsible for providing own transportation to travel to stores. Vehicle must meet the minimum guidelines established in Earth Fare's Travel Policy.

Required Experience

  • Proven success managing shrink, sales, gross-profit and total overhead of a department in a similar environment required.

  • Experience as a Department Manager at Earth Fare preferred.

  • Experience with multi-unit New Store Openings preferred.

  • Must have good working knowledge with MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel

This position will support all systems as they relate to the Accounting Department. Systems include Lawson, Lawson Add-ins, MS Excel, MS Access, QlikView, QlikSense, Essbase, AquaData, Crystal Reports and any other new systems that impact Accounting. * Perform all Lawson testing for patches (individual, MSP's, and ESP's). Read and understand the documentation sent by Lawson as to the changes to the system made by the patches. * Perform all EPIC testing related to the general ledger interface. * Perform duties associated with an upgrade (working with Consultants to execute the decisions made by the Lawson Steering Committee or the decisions made by the Director of Accounting). This will require possible re-build to the current system, testing, training, process changes, etc. * Train end users on changes to their current processes as a result of a Lawson patch, upgrade, or process change. * Understand EPIC as it relates to billing, adjustments, collections, bad debt, accounts receivable and general ledger coding. * Understand Lawson subsystems (Accounts Payable, Human Resources, Materials Management, and Payroll systems) and EPIC well enough to make process improvement recommendations in order to streamline processes for the Accounting/Finance team. * Perform duties associated with implementing additional Lawson functionality (working with Consultants to execute the decisions made by the Lawson Steering Committee or the decisions made by the Director of Accounting). This will require new build to the current system, testing, training, process changes, etc. * Assist with other non-Lawson/EPIC continuous improvement initiatives. * Write and maintain all Lawson add-ins queries/uploads for the Accounting/Finance team, which will require an understanding of the underlying database structure. * Represent the Accounting/Finance team at the bi-weekly Lawson Functional Change Control meeting. * Maintain all aspects of Financial Reporting dashboard in Qlikview/QlikSense. * Serve as backup to Sr. Finance Analyst. Use AquaData and Crystal Reports to pull and analyze data from EPIC for month end close and interim/final audits. Job Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required. * Minimum of five (5) years experience required. * Must have excellent written, verbal and organizational skills. Must possess a clear, concise communication style for efficient and effective communication. * Requires advanced PC skills including Microsoft Excel (formulas, v-lookup and the ability to build/manipulate complex spreadsheets), Word, Outlook and Lawson or other enterprise accounting system experience. * Demonstrates analytical skills with financial statements and other related accounting concepts.
