Mid to senior level software engineer to join the team responsible for the design, development, production, integration and life cycle support of the Torpedo Systems Group (TSG) products used aboard Navy submarines, ships, and aircraft. The TSG designs, develops, demonstrates, produces, assembles, tests and delivers torpedo arrays and electronic assemblies. The TSG team works with the Navy, internal production staff and the representatives from other companies to advance torpedo performance and lower production costs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will help our team develop and maintain our embedded real-time software application running under Linux and VxWorks. The preferred candidate will demonstrate a high degree of skill both at the detailed low level hardware interface and the high level architectural abstraction layers. Team members help translate requirements into reality by applying modern software engineering techniques and processes to create high quality applications. Effective team members are independently motivated to complete tasks while participating in the evolution of the application.
