We are seeking an Operations Support Specialist II position to join our Information Technology department. This position is Full-Time, scheduled 40 hours per week and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package. Location:
Adventist Health Columbia Gorge is located in The Dalles, Oregon. We work, live, and play in the scenic Columbia River Gorge, Oregon. Located 85 miles east of Portland in the majestic Columbia River Gorge, The Dalles features old-growth forests, rushing waterfalls, and year-round access to outdoor recreation, including downhill and cross-country skiing, world-class water sports, and miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. The area boasts award-winning wineries, and, most importantly, warm, friendly people.
Responsibilities
Provide support to customers to resolve problems with products and applications, perform the setup and maintenance of computers, laptops, printers, etc. and interact with 3rd party vendors in a healthcare environment. Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and be comfortable delivering support via phone and with remote access tools. Candidates must demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and be dedicated to tracking calls through well-documented tickets. Under general supervision delivers quality service to the customers of Information Systems & Services by serving as a single point of contact for reporting problems, requesting services, and general inquiries. This job is not a remote work position. The employee is expected to be on-site, in the office to perform daily duties.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate's degree from a two-year college or university or two years of related experience.
Licensure/Certification:
Preferred certifications include A+ Certification, Dell, and/or H/P certification.
Experience:
Five years of experience providing customer-service-focused technical support required, preferably using remote support technologies in a help desk environment.
Experience working with an IT service management ticketing system strongly preferred.
Experience with computerized healthcare systems strongly preferred. with Windows 7 & 10, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Active Directory, MS Exchange, Groupwise. Knowledge of Mac and PC hardware, Printers, scanners, computer peripherals, Mobile devices (iOS, Android).
Experience with desktop security products.
Experience with Client PC connectivity - Ethernet, TCP/IP, and VPN. File server knowledge.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Demonstrated technical analysis and problem solving capabilities. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system, Microsoft Office suite, Citrix, client-server applications, remote connection and other technologies.
Delivers exceptional service and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills that allow for a constructive working relationship with a diverse population of customers.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills including a high level of skill in communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques for computers, printers, peripherals, client-server applications, connectivity, and desktop software issues.
Remains calm and professional under pressure.
Works well both independently and as part of a team. Able to learn quickly and adapt to new and changing technologies.
Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
