About the Role
Performs multiple operations functions in support of branches and departments. Within guidelines and under general supervision, reconciles, balance, clears outstanding balances, responds to inquiries and processes specific reports. Determines source and resolution of problems through examination of various documents and records. May also be responsible for general clerical duties associated with customer service recordkeeping requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Backup for all operations computer entry for accuracy and compliance with Bank policy.
Assists with charge backs, credit backs, and returns while adhering to Bank policy.
Handles all collections for the bank.
Receive foreign deposit items and submit to correspondent bank for payment.
Balance offsite cash to general ledger.
Balance ATM's for all branches.
Monitor proof corrections received daily for accuracy, making corrections as necessary.
Prepares and/or verifies currency transaction reports, Reg D excessive activity, and dormant account reactivation.
Completes research requests using Image retrieval.
Process all levies, garnishments, summons and subpoenas and maintain logs according to bank policy.
Process Non Post transactions, including NSF, Restricted, Closed Account and Positive Pay transactions.
Process ACH Returns and Corrections with customer notifications as required according to the NACHA regulations. Maintain the ACH Returns & Corrections log.
Back up for Accounting Dept for wire entry or call back as required.
Ensures accuracy and compliance with bank policy and procedure on duties assigned to operations support.
Physical ability to lift, move, and carry a case of paper.
Change/load toner and paper into copier and clear paper jams.
Sort courier bags and distribute the contents to appropriate departments / branches.
Using image retrieval research of check adjustments, cash letter adjustments, customer requests and court ordered research.
Serve as back up to Senior Central Support Clerk as required
Other duties as assigned.
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have prior financial industry experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Careful attention to detail and time management
Proficiency in basic computer skills
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.

Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
