This important role will support the utility operations team with direct support for scheduling, entering customer information, documenting work and providing support for the team.

LOCATION: Castle Rock, CO

PAY RANGE: $19 - $25 per hour(Base pay is determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.)

CLOSING DATE: This position will close on March 4, 2019.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Operations Manager

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    *
  • Schedule daily work for service and operational employees and/or crews through scheduling tools (click).
  • *
  • Monitor scheduling tools and provide support to Operations Supervisors with scheduling employees for PTO, training and appointments.
  • *
  • Provide support for updating schedules on company intranet sites and community emergency plans.
  • *
  • Submit requests to various agencies for facility locating (except in areas where this person is required to be the technician that will be excavating).
  • *
  • Support meter issue investigations, processing meter changes and equipment orders.
  • *
  • Assist with expense reporting, processing invoices, submit invoices for 3rd party damage and invoicing technical services.
  • *
  • Assist in tracking contract deposits and refunds for customer construction.
  • *
  • Assist with scanning, filing and maintaining operations related materials and data entry into electronic systems.
  • *
  • Provide support to Supervisor regarding customer matters.
  • *
  • Assist with arranging meetings, ordering office supplies and provide support to Supervisor for building maintenance.

VIEW JOBS 3/25/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-23T00:00 Description Performs a wide variety of moderately complex to complex technical and legally related duties to assist applicants and attorneys with child support actions within the Child Support Unit of the Department of Human Services. Examples of Duties The following examples of duties are intended to be illustrative only and are not intended to be all inclusive; Maintains APA certification as required by State policy. Collects genetic samples for genetic testing, sends samples to lab, monitors for results and provides results to parties as appropriate. Conducts conferences to establish paternity and child support through the Administrative Process (APA) whenever possible; when APA is not appropriate, sets court hearings for establishment, notifies all parties of hearings, prepares file for County Attorney to present at hearing, monitors for hearing results, and updates the ACSES with new order information. Provides support to the County Attorney while in court. Prepares and files Reports of Paternity Determination (RPD) with Vital Statistics as appropriate. Processes review and adjustment requests by determining if a modification of a child support order is warranted, providing applicants with financial affidavits and reviewing the completed affidavits for pertinent information, running child support guideline worksheets, holding settlement conferences, filing motions to modify, setting hearings when necessary, monitoring the case for new court orders, and updating the ACSES with any new court order and financial balance information. Conducts interviews, negotiations and/or mediations with parties in conflict to achieve a mutually-beneficial case outcome. Manages an assigned child support caseload, which may include but is not limited to the following actions: Maintains ACSES case records by entering pertinent updates to existing data. Conducts follow-up interviews with applicant to supplement/verify data and to explain applicable legal processes, procedures, etc. Receives and responds to telephone calls/visitors. Reviews and responds to incoming mail to determine what action needs to be taken. Generates outgoing mail to ascertain locate/income information for parties, and to ensure the completeness of case records; such correspondence may also involve out-of-state agencies and private attorneys. Prints, scans and maintains case documents in an electronicfiling system. Obtains court orders and other necessary records from other district court clerks' offices or agencies. Periodically searches for new locate information, including but not limited to criminal histories, court records, Department of Labor records, Department of Motor Vehicle records, National and State New Hire Directories, IRS records, credit reports, Accurint, etc. Makes referrals to other agencies, including other states' child support units, within federally mandated timeframes. Determines appropriate preliminary legal action and prepares one or more of a variety of moderately complex standard legal forms to initiate same, e.g. support orders, complaint and summons for the establishment of paternity, notices of hearing, etc. Reviews and works ACSES reports. Ensures compliance with county, state and federal standards in each individual case and within the assigned caseload as a whole. OTHER DUTIES: Performs other duties as assigned. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the general direction of a Supervisor. Assignments result from the flow of work and are completed utilizing a variety of operations within generally defined unit procedures. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Not Applicable. CONSEQUENCE OF ERROR: Work in the class is standardized and characterized by a multitude of operations to achieve the desired results. Analysis of facts is required to determine the proper course(s) of action; assistance is available in problematic areas. Errors may require some time to trace and make all necessary corrections, and may result in inappropriate case action. Confidentiality must always be maintained in accordance with Federal, State, County and Department rules. INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT: The position requires great deal of independent decision making, but all decisions must follow the Rules and Regulations of Colorado and Federal Law. Procedure manuals are available for guidance. Necessary for managing a potentially unsafe work setting or violence from a Custodial Parent on Non-Custodial Parent. CONTACTS: Contacts are with superiors, subordinates, fellow workers, applicants and their families, attorneys, court and Services personnel, other related agencies' personnel, private attorneys, court personnel and the general public. Contacts involve interviewing, giving and receiving both routine and non-routine information and may require giving explanations and limited interpretations; however, legal advice may not be given under any circumstances. Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: HS diploma and four years of clerical/office experience to include a minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in the child support field OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Associates preferred. Reasonable typing proficiency needed for frequent data entry. May require additional supplemental coursework specific to the assignment, e.g. paralegal, family law, human services, etc. Preferred qualifications: at least one year experience in the establishment/modification functions of child support. Competency with ACSES, CSETools, ICCES, COVIS, Department of Labor systems and other locate tools. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Existing APA certification required OR ability to obtain within one year of hire. Paralegal certification is a plus. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to plan and organize aspects of work to comply with established unit deadlines; give attention to detail and perform work in a timely and accurate manner; operate standard office equipment (e.g. personal computer, 10-key calculator, copier, fax, and multi-line phone system). Ability to perform complex critical thinking and decision-making. Ability to perform standard mathematical calculations and gain working knowledge of simple bookkeeping procedures and follow semi-complex oral and written instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, fellow workers, attorneys, and related agencies' personnel and the general public and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with same. The ability to successfully complete pre-employment screening including but not limited to: reference checks, criminal background (to include fingerprinting through a national data base), and drug screen is required. Supplemental Information WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is generally confined to a standard office environment. Material and Equipment Directly Used: Standard Office Equipment Physical Demands: Not Applicable. General Work Environment: Work is generally performed in an office setting, however a person in this position will participate in court hearings with the county attorney as needed. In the event of an emergency/disaster in or near the County, all County employees are expected to make every effort to be available to assist the County Manager, Elected/Appointed Officials and Department Directors to ensure the continued operation of any and all necessary County functions. This may mean being available to perform additional duties and hours beyond what is normally required. In the event that an exempt employee does work more than 40 hours a week in support of County operations during an emergency, such employee may receive overtime or other appropriate wage compensation in accordance with existing County policies or at the discretion of the County.
