Role Summary:The Facilities Maintenance Generalist HVAC is responsible for diagnosing and maintaining freezers, ultra-low-test chambers, and repair of central heating, venting, and air conditioning at GE Research.
trades to obtain and complete work assignments.
complex work utilizing conventional facilities and diverse materials.
heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning systems which may or may not be
controlled by computers.
perform general maintenance work including changing light, belts, filters,
etc. as per Trades Consolidation agreement.
policies and codes.
AAS Degree in Plant Utilities Technology, Mechanical Technology, HVAC; or A.O.S Degree in Construction Technology with a minimum of 2 years experience in Utility Operations; or Military Training in Boiler Operations (eg. Navy HT)
Must be willing to work a rotating shift working off hours, weekends, and holidays.

Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY.
Must be willing to take a drug test and submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process.
Must be 18 years or older.

Three years proven experience in commercial or industrial HVAC.
Journeyman HVAC with credentials from State or Federal approved apprentice program
