Kinder Morgan owns or operates the largest natural gas network in North America with approximately 70,000 miles of natural gas pipelines. We are connected to every important U.S. natural gas resource play, including Eagle Ford, Marcellus, Utica, Uinta, Haynesville, Fayetteville and Barnett. We move about 40 percent of the natural gas consumed in America.Kinder-Morgan is seeking a proven leader with relevant skills and experience to join our team based out of our Natural Gas Pipeline (NGPL) compressor station in Texarkana, Arkansas.

Responsibilities:
Supervises the operation and maintenance of district facilities to ensure their safe, reliable, and efficient operation.Ensures the implementation and enforcement of all company guidelines, policies and procedures.Responsible for safety program, environmental compliance, governmental compliance, employee training and development, facility security and personnel functions.Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations affecting natural gas operations.

Position Requirements

EducationHigh School Diploma or GED.Knowledge of the company policies & procedures and government regulations relevant to pipeline operations.ExperiencePrior supervisory experience; or a minimum of 5 years experience in the natural gas industry. Certifications, licenses, registrations.Possess a valid driver's license and meet company insurability requirements.Competencies, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to plan, organize, document, prioritize and complete work efficiently.Strong leadership skills and the ability to multi-task on a daily basis.Good communications skills.Good writing skills.Good interpersonal skills.Strong commitment to safety and have active participation in the safety program.Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office).Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory, and Company tariff requirements.Demonstrate performance and leadership toward operational excellence.Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention to details, and follow work rules.Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, policies & procedures, applicable state & federal regulations, and Company tariff requirements.Ensures current security measures protect company assets while preserving the safety of the general public, customers, and company personnel.Supervise and possess general pipeline operations and maintenance activities and DOT/PHMSA compliance activities within the area of responsibility.Supervise and possess general knowledge of compressor station operations and maintenance activities.Reviews progress, directs changes in priorities and schedules as needed to assure work is completed in a safe, efficient, reliable and timely manner.Provide leadership and oversee the planning and direction of activities of the Malvern area.Reviews the status of the monthly forecasting during the fiscal year.Manage, plan and forecast the Capital and O&M Budgets for the area of responsibility.Establish employee goals and conduct performance evaluations of direct reports.Participate in the development of O&M procedures, site specific procedures, project scopes and work plans.Develops short and long-term plans, goals and objectives within the District operations.Remain current on field operations developments.Identify, report and correct safety and environmental concerns.Computer skills; knowledge of various operating systems, and other company software such as OpsAlert, OpsInfo, MAXIMO, Wonderware, Dameware, PSS View.Participate in Area Public Aware & P/L Damage Prevention Programs.Work effectively with other Kinder Morgan service groups such as D9 Management Group, D9 Technical Services Group, D9 Administrative Group, and D9 Damage Prevention Group.Develop and maintain good working relations with landowners/farmers along our P/L ROWs.Other duties as assigned.Working Conditions: Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions.Must be able to frequently enter confined spaces, climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders, excavated areas, walkways, etc.Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds in awkward positions, and 50 pounds from floor to waist.Field activities may include walking to and amidst work and/or construction sites, climbing in and out of trenches, working around heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.Must be available for responding to emergency situations 24/7.Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge (above the minimum requirements; not required, but advantageous in this position):Four year college degree in a technical area. Job Level Commensurate with skills and experience.
