Operations Supervisor - Metals Recycling- Base Salary to 105k/year- Concord, NH

• Our client is a leading manufacturer and exporter of recycled metal products in North America. Playing a pertinent role in the feedstock of the global economy, our client company has recently been named World’s Most Sustainable Company by Corporate Knights.
• Our metals recycling client is looking to add an Operations Supervisor (internally titled Nonferrous Operations Supervisor) to the team. The Operations Supervisor will have direct oversight of the nonferrous production division. The Operations Supervisor will also monitor and coordinate all nonferrous receiving activities to optimize efficiency, assist with inventory management, and oversee all equipment to maximize processing capacity.
• This role has hours of 6am- 4pm, Monday – Friday, with an occasional Saturday shift (6am - noon).

Responsibilities:

• Directs, coordinates, and schedules equipment and personnel to support nonferrous operations – including material processing, loading nonferrous scrap, etc
• Evaluates incoming nonferrous materials relating to inventory quantity and product quality
• Process Management of bailing/sorting of nonferrous materials and purchasing NF material at retail scale and docks
• Ensures effort and equipment are compliant with company’s EHS regulations
• Maintains Safety Program by ensuring safe work practices and equipment
• Monitors hourly production staff – perform yearly evaluations, manage PTO and production schedule, training, hiring/firing of employees

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma; plus for higher education
• 3+ years in metals recycling industry or related nonferrous background
• 2+ years supervising hourly employees
• Robust knowledge of Nonferrous Materials Grading
• Plus for negotiation skills and/or experience in negotiating prices
