Operations Supervisor

MAU is hiring an Operations Supervisor in Greenville, SC. As an Operations Supervisor, you will provide work direction to MAU associates and subordinates to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people objectives set by the customer and MAU. You will also manage the daily tasks of manufacturing and MAU associates working in various departments throughout the mill.

Required Education and Experience

• Associate degree; OR
• 3 - 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/logistics setting

Essential Functions

• Lead pre-shift meetings

• Attend scheduled daily performance meetings with the customer

• Manage employee work assignments based on turnover and call-offs

• Communicate shift turnover effectively

• Perform GEMBA walks throughout the shift (Process Compliance)

• Verify production via Hour-by-Hour reporting

• Address issues that are below the target

• Document corrective actions

• Respond to/perform special requests from the customer

• Update communication boards (SQDC)

• Ensure operator standard work is followed

• Ability to implement countermeasures and apply containment

• Ensure BIB standards are maintained

• Ensure associate compliance with GMP, dress code, and MAU policies

• Manage MAU associates

• Sustain and support Leader Standard Work

• Crisis management, i.e., safety issues, injuries, property damage, etc.

• Provide continuous training efforts to improve the team's performance

• Oversee Process Improvement

• Coach and develop associates and support conflict resolution when necessary

• Facilitate security compliance and suspension of employees

• Promote/support a positive Safety Culture

• Ensure profitability of the Minimize/eliminate property damage risk

• Provide post-accident reports and drug testing

• Maintain payroll/Kronos daily

• Support and operate within headcount allocations

• Manage expectations regarding MAU Safety Commitments

• Participate in continuous improvement projects when expectations aren't met

• Perform employee attendance counseling

• Actively participate in Simply Problem-solving

• Perform other tasks as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility

• Direct the activity of 25+ hourly associates
