KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Carries out supervisory responsibilities for up to 25 associates in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. * Responsible and accountable for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these individuals or functional units. * Perform timekeeping and attendance tracking for hourly employees. * Has authority to undertake or recommend the following employment actions: hiring, firing, corrective action and performance reviews. * Aligns with management to complete projects, implement changes, and hold associates accountable. * Monitor, investigate and correct incorrect processes, issues and customer complaints in a timely manner. * Ensure efficient use of labor; utilize appropriate labor management tools, reporting, tracking, etc. * Collaborate with management to identify and drive department metrics and procedures (safety, cost-per-carton, productivity, on-time fill rate, standard work, etc.). * Effectively communicate throughout the organization, set up and lead departmental meetings. * Investigate methods, new ideas, and projects for continuous improvement. * Demonstrate a Continuous Improvement mindset – through participation in events and activities that lead. * Live and support our 4 Company Values within the workplace: Exhibit Exemplary Teamwork, Strive for Continuous Improvement, promote a Fun and Engaged Workplace and Delight the Customer.
