PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION

Primary responsibility of Operations Supervisor is to supervise the day to day operations and administrative responsibilities of the Asurion forward stocking locations for various client programs. This person serves as an integral part of the SCM support team in providing support and ensuring smooth and effective operations and will provide a variety of professional, fiscal, administrative, operational, and/or clerical services to department and management.

As a Supervisor within Asurion you will promote teamwork, collaboration, quality/production standards, professionalism and integrity to ensure that departmental results are delivered in accordance with Asurion Core Values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Plan, and implement warehouse operations as well as administrative support to meet quality and productivity metrics as well as overall business needs.

  • Supervise teams to ensure product arrival dispositions according to process, inventory and shipping protocols are followed.

  • Receive and stock inventory into warehouse racks

  • Maintains inventory accuracy by researching and performing follow-ups when discrepancies arise.

  • Update department work instructions and improve process flow.

  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by manager.

  • Pick and pack orders that come in throughout the day

  • Stage orders and handoff to other Anywhere Experts at pick up windows

  • Facilitate reverse logistic processes from Anywhere Experts

  • Ensure product is always kept in secured locations

  • Adhere to specified SLAs and KPIs

  • RMA and purge product back as needed

OTHER FUNCTIONS

  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Skills/knowledge:

  • Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Knowledge of supply chain integration, logistics network designs and warehouse best practices.

  • Ability to navigate and root cause opportunities to seek resolution.

  • Strong ability to handle ambiguity and adapts readily and easily to changes.

  • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation and team facilitations skills.

  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to be self-managed and set priorities

Experience/education:

  • B.S. in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Industrial Engineering. (preferred)

Physical demands: Bending, sitting, lifting, and standing based on the need of the business. Standing and/or sitting for extended and long periods of time, up to 100% of shift or over time.

Work environment: Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Vocal communications are required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and/or to communicate with customers and/or clients. Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and in environment with loud machinery.

Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals, and such matters as demands for overtime or shift work. Exposure to various materials including cardboard, various metals and plastics. Exposure to moving equipment and objects in the immediate work area such as automated machinery, fulfillment line, heavily laden carts, and forklifts. Exposure to tools or material with sharp edges which may involve the risk of injury.

VIEW JOBS 10/15/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-13T00:00 Operations Supervisor in Shreveport, LA POSITION SUMMARY: Within a division, the Operations Supervisor – Hauling Operations is responsible for supervising the collections activities in one or more lines of business (commercial, residential, roll-off (industrial) and/or container delivery and pick up) in a geographically dispersed area. The Operations Supervisor oversees drivers and helpers and works with the Operations Manager and General Manager to implement tactical initiatives to drive functional excellence and budget achievement. The Operations Supervisor ensures adherence to all accident prevention programs and leads operations to ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, operating, regulatory, accounting, ethics and other standards. Responsibilities include the execution and delivery of Safety, Customer Experience, and Efficiency while supporting a culture of employee engagement. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES: Safety * Understand and provide leadership to achieve and communicate about safety goals and objectives. * Work to remove unsafe conditions or situations from drivers' routes. * Work with the sales team to identify and eliminate any unsafe conditions on new route or for new customers. * Partner with the maintenance department to ensure all equipment remains in working order and in compliance with safety standards. * Oversee effective safety and accident prevention programs to ensure all reasonable actions are taken to prevent accidents and injuries; ensure a safe and productive work environment for all employees; implement and maintain and effective loss control and safety program. * Engage assigned employees in active participation to instill a culture of safety by demonstration of a personal commitment to safe operations and active personal outreach to operational employees. Customer Experience * Provide service to all customers that meets or exceeds customer expectations with regard to the entire customer experience. * Understand missed pickup goals and meet or exceed expectations related to those goals. * Resolve unusual service requests, equipment breakdowns and schedule changes with timely communications to all stakeholders. * Interact with customers to solve and rectify any issues and improve the overall customer experience. * Serve as a positive representative of the Company to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty to the Company. Efficiency * Establish productivity goals where needed; ensure adherence to operating standards; and manage labor hours and disposal expenses per established and agreed plans. * Lead drivers to exceed productivity goals and expectations for all routes. * Create, modify and improve routes to maximize density and improve efficiency. * Reduce route hours to the extent possible with techniques such as service conversions and container upsizing. * Execute other operational plans to help achieve or exceed the division's budgeted goals. * Understand, support and execute service delivery while actively supporting maintenance and the operational role in fleet quality and maintenance.
