As an Operations Student Project Manager (PM) at Campbellsville University, you will play a crucial role in the success of construction and operations projects and the overall efficiency of University Operations. Reporting to the AVP of Operations, your responsibilities will center around comprehensive project management and other duties assigned. The Operations team covers a wide scope of responsibilities, and the person in this role may be asked to support any area at times.

This PM's primary focus will be managing campus projects' programming, design, and construction. While most of the work will be concentrated on Campbellsville, KY properties, occasional support may be required at other University locations. The PM will manage budgets for projects, and use Workday to process Purchase Orders and Payments. The PM will also be responsible for any other tasks assigned by the AVP of Operations, which could include any area of Campbellsville University Operations. The average workweek will be with-in the time period of Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm but some evening and wknd work will be required. The expectation will be 20 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working on projects in similar environments.

  • Expertise in preparing comprehensive project budgets, or the ability to quickly learn the process

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with multiple stakeholders to achieve a common goal.

  • Comfortable to lead projects through regulatory processes, collaborating with local building departments, fire marshals, and other authorities having jurisdiction as needed.

  • Ability to select and manage contractors and/or construction management firms.

Minimum Competencies:

  • Proficient in producing concise, well-written status reports with excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • Capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities, ensuring a high level of client service.

  • General knowledge of Building Codes, Life Safety Codes, and ADA standards or the willingness to learn them.

  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing construction administration documentation using Microsoft Office.

  • Proficiency in Word and Excel with the ability to learn other software programs as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree

Preferred Competencies:

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Teams.
