MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (BMT-19-0704-F):
Bowhead's Manufacturing Engineering Technician is responsible for researching, planning, and identifying electromechanical products from customer supplied Technical Data Packages for the manufacture of production hardware.
Essential Job Functions:
Interprets engineering drawings and specifications
Develops manufacturing planning documentation, including Bill(s) of Material, requirements for production routers, work instructions, and shop process procedures
Manages configuration throughout the ERP system, item part master, bill of material, router, and work instructions
Researches and analyzes customer requests for proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements
Supports supplier sourcing efforts as required including activities such as supplier manufacturing capability assessment and cost
Interfaces with program's quality, procurement and management staff as required to drive attainment of program's production objectives (cost, throughput, and yields)
Follows Quality Management System processes and procedures
Requirements Associate's Degree in Engineering or related technical field and a minimum of three (3) years of appropriate industry experience
Technical expertise and knowledge including precision machining of components, sheet metal fabrication, component special processes
Ability to read blue prints and understand industry and military specifications
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, writing and computer skills
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: May be subject to a federal security clearance investigation (Secret level). US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance.
