Under immediate supervision, the Mutual Funds 529 College Savings Plan Specialist handles a variety of functions regarding the setup of 529 College Savings Plan accounts and requires the ability to gain a solid understanding of the various Plans offered at Stifel. The 529 team is responsible for processing new 529 plan accounts at the funds, shell accounts of 403 (b) plans, Simple and SEP IRAs and establishing and maintaining these accounts. The Specialist is expected to have a thorough understanding of the systems used as they relate to the team's responsibilities and provides operational support to branch management and staff.
Responsible for establishing, processing and maintaining 529 plan account information, account owner changes, broker dealer changes, rollovers, and other account maintenance as necessary.
Reviews all paperwork for completeness and accuracy before submitting to the fund for processing.
Responsible for establishing, processing and maintaining allowable Direct MF plan account information, broker dealer changes, and other account maintenance as necessary.
Maintains Financial Advisor list for distribution to Fund Companies and Transfer Agents.
Provides operational support to branch personnel's account inquiries through resolution.
Works reject and exception reports for level 4 networking and makes appropriate adjusting entries.
Responsible for completing assigned tasks within the departments established timeframes.
Accurate and timely processing of various daily, weekly, and quarterly tasks.
Acquire a working knowledge of several functions within the various systems used.
Process various daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
Respond to e-mails and calls from branch offices and handle inquiries through resolution.
Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively.

High School diploma or related required; college degree preferred.
0-2 years related business experience required, 1-3 years preferred.
Computers Programs and Design Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite Word and Excel.
