Operations Specialist

Hilltop Securities is currently hiring for an Operations Specialist in Dallas, Texas to support the Settlement department within Operations. The Operations group is a collection of sub-departments which is responsible for everything after an account is opened or a trade occurs. The Operations group's responsibilities include opening customer accounts, account maintenance, receiving and delivering money and securities to customers, and many more.

The Settlement department is responsible for the clearance and settlement of securities. This area receives and delivers physical securities as well as book-entry securities through the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation to and from broker/dealers and custodian banks.

Settlement handles a wide variety of products for retail and institutional customers. Products include Corporate and Municipal Bonds, Common and Preferred Stock, Foreign Securities, and Government Issues. In addition to facilitating the settlement of securities from Broker to Broker, the settlement group also performs Prime Broker functions. more.
