Job Duties: -

  • Collects and maintains daily and weekly data on receiving/shipping objectives

  • Analyzes receiving/shipping data and reports to customer daily projection against goals

  • Daily reconciles receiving and shipping EDI feeds between the Company's warehouse management system (Synapse) and the customer's system (SAP)

  • Troubleshoots system discrepancies with internal and external Inventory Control

  • Interfaces with customer by e-mail, telephone and on-site visits

  • Creates reports of product picking activities to identify high volumes

  • Recommends efficient relocation of high volume products for easy access by pickers

  • Spends part of shift on the floor auditing the aisles

  • Completes at least 10 spot audits throughout the shift; all employees with an error for the previous day must receive a spot audit

  • Ensures all pick lines are in good working condition, to include: no "no-pick signs" are left up, no pallets in the aisles, no locations pyramid picked, no damages in pick aisles and no LP's on the racks

  • Ensures all locations are prepped to pick UOM and in a white bin in cluster

  • Writes up all discrepancies from the aisles found at the start of the shift and provide feedback to previous shift

  • Other duties as required and assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with warehouse systems (Synapse and SAP preferred)

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel

  • Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

  • Ability to write simple reports and correspondence

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Environment:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and can be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold including climates consistent with outside weather conditions.

This position is responsible for coordinating activities for a fleet of drivers to assist in meeting or exceeding safety practices and measurements, required operating metrics, and providing service that will meet or exceed the customer?s service needs. This position will provide leadership to driver team members by modeling USA Truck?s core values. ? PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES * Responsible for timely identification and communication of potential Driver safety compliance issues including, but not limited to, HOS violations, Drive Cam events, drug and alcohol testing, terminal route-through and maintenance issues. * Communicate with Driver Manager and Team Lead as necessary for issues requiring Drivers to change an existing or future load plan. * Monitor and effectively coach Driver Team Members through use of Drive Cam technology. * Focus on driver retention by building strong relationships with each Driver, monitoring performance, and keeping Drivers informed and motivated. * Work with Fuel Management department to monitor fuel purchasing and idle time efficiency. Communicate and coach Drivers to achieve company goals in these areas. * Ensure assigned fleet of drivers are in compliance with all FMCSA regulations. * Identify and remediate missing documentation, Comdata card issues, trailer errors, etc. * Communicate and help facilitate resolution of driver conflicts, problems, and requests such as home time, pay, equipment, and load assignments. * Coordinate PM?s, route-throughs, and freight relays as necessary to meet commitments. * Provide training, counselling and remedial actions for HOS compliance * Facilitate and provide training, guidance and support to Telematics installation and training for Driver Team Members as necessary to support a successful transition. * Utilize operational reports and metrics to ensure operating effectiveness. * Meet deadlines and deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
