Under direct supervision, performs claims and documents per procedures and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews default and specialty claims for regulatory compliance
Verifies loan/claim information on the in-house system for completeness and accuracy
Writes return or denial letters to the lender/servicers
Scans and indexes claim documents to imaging system
Prepares documents for imaging
Complies with all ECMC Group Policies
Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Basic math skills
Must be detail-oriented
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Basic knowledge and skills working in a computer based office suite environment; Microsoft Windows or Mac Office
Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to analyze, identify, and solve problems using sound judgment. Knows who to involve and takes appropriate action
Displays and promotes high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational and government standards
1 year claim review experience
Demonstrated data entry/typing skills
Ability to consistently carry out job responsibilities

Office: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment that requires normal safety precautions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
Sedentary work: Job involves sitting most of the time; walking, lifting, bending, standing etc. may be minimally required.
Rarely if at all less than 10% of the time.
