Under general supervision, assists professionals in the field with routine operations specialist duties per role specific knowledge. Responsible for providing operations team support through timely and effective mentoring and direct supervision and management of Preventative and Corrective Maintenance, Optimization Projects and specific Compliance Assurance initiatives. Provides operational assistance to personnel based on specialty. Some duties may include, but not limited to, calibration of equipment, routine troubleshooting, basic understanding of all surface equipment. Working independently or in a collaborative team to optimize production and equipment in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner. Based on available data, be able to make recommendations for Production and Facility Optimization.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for surveillance of general field operations and maintenance of various databases regarding production operations

  • Ability to provide technical and mechanical assistance to production operations personnel.

  • Prepare various tickets, work orders, records, and other administrative reports to manage trends and to support recommendations.

  • Collect field and event data in support of continuous root cause analysis processes and make recommendations for well and facility optimization.

  • Understanding of oil and gas process flow operations and all relative equipment

  • Ensure work assignments are carried out in highest level of quality and safety precautions.

  • Assist and communicate with service providers to insure schedule compliance and support continuous process improvement and asset reliability.

  • Implement quality assurance process with contractors and all personnel on site.

  • Prepare and manage and ensure Joyn Task and/or work orders are completed in a timely manner.

  • Observe and report abnormal or dangerous conditions pertaining to surface production equipment.

  • Conduct business with the highest ethical standards; demonstrate decision-making skills that ensure the safety of all persons associated with SM facilities.

  • Support Operations Team through task and process specific training and mentoring for lease operators as needs are identified.

  • Provide temporary backfill of supervisor duties as needs arise due to scheduled PTO or unscheduled time conflict.

  • Demonstrate competency and response commitment in support of operational needs and RRC Weather Emergency Preparedness Standards

  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Role-Specific Technical Knowledge & Skills:

  • Demonstrated competency and commitment to utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) in support of driving and maintaining sustainable asset reliability

  • Demonstrated competency of facility process interdependencies and impact on the following systems

  • Gas Injection Compression and distribution systems including individual control systems

  • High and Low Pressure Flare Systems

  • Tank Vapor control and capture systems

  • Instrument Air Systems

  • Emission detection, response and documentation

  • Responsible for troubleshooting, commissioning (PSSR's), and daily operations equipment

  • Coordinate field repairs with third party construction crews

  • Support the Operations Surveillance Room

  • Well versed in Scada, PLC, POC, VFD and Well Analyzer systems

  • Well versed understanding of all facility and facility automation equipment including O2 analyzers, H2S detection devices, VRU's, VRV's, VRT's, Static Mixers, Varro Units, Dryer Units, and compressed air systems.

  • Able to work with third party companies to ensure good performance and continuing improvement.

  • Able to help train and mentor lease operators.

  • Maintain proper inventory and material transfer.

  • Reviews trends of production data to identify anomalies.

  • Works closely with other departments to ensure found issues are being communicated and properly corrected.

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required. Associates or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred

Typical Experience

Minimum 6+ years of work experience required. Oil and gas industry experience a plus.
