Job Summary
As a member of the Freeport LNG team, contribute positively to assist in the development of an organization which embraces a commitment to safety and environmental best practice, continuous improvement and teamwork.
This role includes Operations shift leadership of the Liquefaction, Storage and Loading Production Facility under the direction of Operations Superintendent and the Production Manager.
Will act as on-scene Incident Commander during dayshift, nightshifts, weekends and holidays.
Will be required to work a rotating schedule with the flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and cover positions on overtime as required. Complete the day-to-day activities in the field as well as operational changes directed by the Shift Superintendent, Production Manager and Process Engineers.
Duties/Responsibilities
Trained and active in emergency response as the Incident Commander on his/her shift in an emergency event.
May be required to report to work during unscheduled times for emergencies or other activities.
Must be able to attend planned and or scheduled regulatory trainings and/or drills as required to maintain IMT status.
Must be able to work a rotating 12 hour shift schedule
Accountable for supervising the day-to-day operations functions associated with the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the LQF and RTM facilities
Maintain consistency with peers
Responsible for all production operations activities during the shift
Supervise operator activities for LNG processing, liquefying, storing and loading operations
Ensure cumulative risk of all activity is managed on shift
Coordinate interaction between the various departments of the company
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and health requirements on shift
Ensure product quality specifications and delivery volume requirements are met in accordance with production nominations
Train, develop, and mentor operations personnel
Troubleshoot plant problems
Ensure ship's declarations of Inspection, regulatory required paperwork, onboard equipment, etc. is in order and ready to load/unload
Ensure all required logs and daily reports are submitted correctly and on time
Provide technical advice/support to Maintenance, Production and Engineering as requested
Essential Functions
Understand and follow the Daily Operations Instructions, Process Operating Guidelines, and Standing Instructions and ensure adherence by all shift personnel
May be required to serve as backup to Operations Superintendent
Perform duties as assigned and deemed necessary by Liquefaction Superintendent
Conduct routine audits of the Permit to Work System, Task Management System and coordinate actions between various functions
Conduct routine audits as prescribed by procedures and standards
Participate in Risk Assessments
Participate in Root Cause Analysis
Ensure all direct reports have a knowledge of the Operations Management System
Conduct team Emergency Response Drills and table top exercises
Conduct routine Safety meetings and updates
Participate aned help lead routine Safety meetings
Ability to supervise and multi-task various activities (planning, organizing, oversight)
Assert and follow all Life Saving Rules
Be available to work unscheduled overtime as necessary for Terminal Operations.
Stay current and ensure reports stay current on all training, MOC, and audit requirements
Supervise and cross train new or less experienced employees
Ensure training for all team members is up to date
Conduct performance reviews as per the Performance Management System
Conduct daily shift meetings
Serve on the Hurricane ride-out team as needed
Promote a strong team atmosphere on shift with an emphasis on morale
Play an active role in the continuous improvement of our business

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Complete the required training and sign offs from the LQF-RTM trainer
Must be experienced in the use of PC equipment and software including Windows and MS office product
Must have all NIMS training to be able to step into Shift Superintendent Role
Ability to supervise multiple tasks (planning, organizing, oversight)
Strong written/verbal technical communication skills
Must be proficient in all outside areas of the Liquefaction & Utilities roles (A, B-2,B-1 & C)
Trouble shooting/analytical skills with the ability to logically work through process problems and upsets
Strong leadership, training/mentoring and team building skills
Able to provide clear work instruction to subordinates
Ability to develop and follow operating procedures
Strong mechanical background
Trained in NIMS & Emergency Response
Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment
Strong commitment to HSE with the ability to inspire and lead others
Strong Planning Skills
Experience in reading and understanding P&ID & PFD drawings
HSE Roles and Responsibilities
Support the policies, efforts, and programs of Freeport LNG Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System. Actively participate in the HSE Management System Policies. Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility. Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee can be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration and elevated noise levels.
May be required to wear respiratory protective equipment.
