The Operations Senior Associate is primarily responsible for supporting the Washington National Tax team from an operations and reporting standpoint. This individual will produce reports, and conduct appropriate analysis, as it relates to Washington National Tax business and finances. They will organize and take part in recurring Washington National Tax meetings and calls to ensure any operational projects are on track to be completed.

The Operations Senior Associate will apply broad, advanced project management principles and concepts to large projects, and contribute to continuous process improvement. Program duties may not always fall within a defined subproject.

This role will report directly to the leader of the Washington National Tax practice.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Gather data, and produce reports of varying complexity as they relate to Washington National Tax. These reports, varying in complexity, will address the following:

  • Finance

  • Utilization

  • Learning & Professional Development: Employees instructing or completing trainings

  • Knowledge Management

  • Gather data and information and draft the team's annual report presentation for the leaders' approval

  • Compile a comprehensive report that compares results vs. goals for Washington National Tax professionals

  • Prepare agendas and helping facilitate Washington National Tax calls and meetings

  • Act as liaison, to a degree, between the firm and Washington National Tax leaders

  • Interact with the Washington National Tax partners and leader to learn of challenges and successes they are having and report out

  • Manage multiple projects and stakeholder relationships across the Washington National Tax team to assure business needs are met, projects are delivered on time, and potential projects are managed

  • May serve as a career advisor to office services employees and/or mentor to project managers and junior project team members

  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, or related field

  • 3+ years of experience as an external client server in tax services for a professional services organization or another relevant industry; or relevant work experience; experience in project management processes preferred

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Ability to confidently connect at all levels in the organization using diplomatic communication, influence and negotiation skills - written and verbal

  • Effective organization and time management skills

  • Understands and thrives in a fast pace environment and is able to prioritize accordingly

  • Strong attention to detail
