Security Clearance:

Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD government-granted security clearance. Individuals will be subject to a background investigation to include but not limited to, criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will provide Operational Logistics Support to support mission requirements of Littoral and Strike Warfare (L) Department of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD). Under general supervision, candidate is responsible for the following:

  • Provide cost estimating, Integrated Program Management (IPM), and acquisition cost support to weapon systems

  • Conduct data collection research and analysis and analyze mission requirements to determine cost parameters, cost factors, and relationships to be utilized in constructing cost models

  • Build quantitative models to predict the future cost of weapon systems

  • Perform analysis to help customer leadership make informative decisions concerning cost analysis

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance level Secret

  • BS/BA Degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent defense experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience directly related to formulating and applying mathematical modeling

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience directly related with utilization of Content Management Systems, learning Management Systems, and/or Sharable Content Object Reference Model

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience developing and maintaining supply chain models, optimal time, cost, or logistics models, Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Modeling, Prediction, Allocation and Analysis for program evaluations, review, or implementation

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance level Secret

  • BS/BA Degree in Science or Engineering in a relevant field or equivalent military logistics experience.

  • Demonstrated experience assessing program acquisition and sustainment strategies and determining appropriate logistic product support strategy

  • Demonstrated experience in the technical documentation life cycle development, distribution and disposal

  • Demonstrated experience with the development, maintenance, and production of one or more of the following Logistic Program Management plans or presentations: Integrated Logistic Support Plan, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Interim Logistic Support Plans, DMSMS Management Plans, Supply Management Plans, Technical Bulletins, User Logistics Support Summaries, Program Review Technical Presentations

  • Experience using Integrated Development Environments (IDE) to develop or maintain logistic products

Capable of being the single technical point of contact to the Government and to the NAVSEALOGCEN Managers. Skilled in writing and validating technical reports, analyzing metrics, and identifying areas for improvement.  Must demonstrate good problem-solving skills and have experience overseeing accomplishments involving multiple simultaneous tasks at the TEAM level.   <br />  <br /> This regular and recurring support is scheduled for eight (8) hours a day, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.<br />  <br /> Responsibilities<br /> • Work with multiple Property Accountability teams in planning, budgeting, scheduling and tracking the execution of all tasking assignments for major regional Property Control/Warehouse/Distribution centers and remote sites as tasked.<br /> • Provide programmatic and technical guidance for all efforts to ensure effective execution of the program and project objectives.<br /> • Work with the teams to conduct risk analysis and seek alternatives for problems encountered on the program.<br /> • Define near-term program objectives, schedules, budgets and task plans and review these with the Programmatic and Technical teams.<br /> <br /> Utilize experience to develop schedule and technical progress reports for both internal and external stakeholders to support monthly reporting.<br /> Uncover and understand customer needs and translate them into requirements.<br />  <br /> Ability to work well with internal teams, including Senior Logisticians, Supply Technicians, Material Coordinators, Warehouse Specialists and Shipping/Receiving Clerks. Ensure quality assurance and operations.
