Operations Research Analyst

Key Role:

Analyze the actual and predictable interacting operational activities of a military, governmental, or business system to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making or resource allocation. Leverage advanced knowledge of modeling and measuring techniques, mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematical techniques, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines in determining solutions. Provide work leadership to junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with data collection and analysis planning, test issue resolution, post-test data analysis, and report preparation and production

  • Experience with developing data collection and analysis methodologies to ensure that all test data collected is of sufficient quantity, quality, and relevancy to meet test objectives

  • Ability to analyze operational test activities and apply advanced knowledge of mathematics, statistical, and engineering methods in determining solutions to complex problems

  • Top Secret clearance required

  • BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Joint or operational Test and Evaluation (T&E)

  • Experience with military planning, intelligence, and operations processes

  • Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of the US Combatant Commands, including USCYBERCOM, Service Test Agencies, including ATEC, and Service doctrine commands, including Army TRADOC

  • TS/SCI clearance preferred

  • BA or BS degree in a STEM field preferred; MA or MS degree in a STEM field a plus

  • Formal Military ORSA Courses or Designation preferred

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Research, analyze, and evaluate programmatic, technical, and operational requirements, including related components, systems, and infrastructure in various stages of their life cycles, such as capabilities analysis, design, development, implementation, and deployment. Perform research and analysis activities and prepare technical documentation, including architectures, concepts of operations, capability requirements, gap analyses, and other related documentation. Perform trade studies to evaluate the merits of various technical and programmatic strategies to develop and field CM solutions, document the costs, risks, advantages, and disadvantages, and recommend specific courses of action.
