Operations Representative- Toledo, OH

2nd Shift:
Sunday to Thursday, 4:00 pm- 2:00 am

As the Operations Representative you will work in a fast-paced environment coordinating customer freight, negotiating rates, establish long-lasting relationships and help grow customer loyalty.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate on-time pickup and deliveries utilizing various software systems
  • Track and trace shipments along with drivers, providing detailed updates within our TMS software
  • Utilize various communication tools (ie. phone, email, text), attention to detail and sense of urgency is critical
  • Ability to learn reporting tools in order to provide data to customer reps and managers
  • Coordinate available customer freight with available carrier equipment
  • Daily communication with motor carriers; scheduling pick-up/delivery appointments, problem solving, driver relations and resolving in-transit issues quickly and accurately
  • Verify freight charges, confirm receipt of Bill of Lading, resolve payable discrepancies prior to final payment to motor carrier
  • Monitor Bill of Lading discrepancies, ensure proper return of commodity is arranged, as necessary



Requirements:

  • Experience within the Automotive Industry preferred, not required
  • 2nd Shift role- Sunday thru Thursday
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years full-time work experience; college degree preferred
  • 3 plus years dispatching experience
  • Ability to deal with sporadic high stress environment
  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail a must along with solid negotiation and conflict-management skills
  • Above average email management, computer and typing skills
  • Prior customer service skills
  • Accessible by phone after business hours
  • Fluency in Spanish is a bonus

Position Responsibilities * Accurately pick products by matching numbers and product descriptions using voice audio headset. Hand stacks cases of product weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively from floor to over-head throughout the duration of the shift. * Place the beverage products in a defined stacking pattern onto the pallet. * Hand shrink wrap customer orders with label and move completed order to the loading dock staging area using electronic pallet jack or walkie-rider equipment. * Report all product discrepancies or quality issues to supervision including damaged product, wrong store number, equipment issues, etc. * Follow all safety procedures and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the safe operation of equipment and help to maintain a safe, clean work environment to include general housekeeping warehouse duties.
