Northrop Grumman offers a challenging career opportunity in our Operations Planning and Control team within the Mission Systems sector at our Salt Lake City, UT facility. Working in Northrop Grumman Mission Systems means making a direct contribution to mission projects that keep our homeland safe, expanding the boundaries of possibility and reshaping the world we live in. We are seeking an Operations Project Manager (OPM) level 3/4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between operations factory management, program management, business management, engineering, MRP scheduling/planning, production control, mission assurance, and global supply chain.

  • Review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepares status reports.

  • Coordinate and plan support of factory production schedules in support of Annual Operating Plan and Indicated Final program management and business management targets.

  • Oversee inputs of new demand orders into the planning system and coordinate, forecast, and report on performance to contract schedules.

  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving, and leads project teams as required to ensure performance to objectives and address risk

MANUMS

Basic Qualifications for a Band 3:

  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience; or 4 Years of relevant experience with Masters Degree

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, PowerPoint)

  • SAP experience

  • Experience in Project Management, Manufacturing Operations, Scheduling, or Production Control arenas

  • Excellent presentation skills to supporting teams, managers, and executives

Preferred Qualifications for a Band 3:

  • Master's degree (completed or in progress)

  • Prior Project Management experience coordinating diverse multifunctional teams

  • Microsoft Project experience

  • Familiar with data querying (Oracle, based queries) and data analysis for schedule, cost, and quality based data

  • Integrated Product Team (IPT) experience

  • Cost Account Management (CAM) and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)

  • Experience with Department of Defense (DOD) programs

  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 10 years of experience; or 8 Years with Masters

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, PowerPoint)

  • SAP experience

  • Experience in Project Management, Manufacturing Operations, Scheduling, or Production Control arenas

  • Excellent presentation skills to supporting teams, managers, and executives

Preferred Qualifications for a Band 4:

  • Master's degree (completed or in progress)

  • Prior Project Management experience coordinating diverse multifunctional teams

  • Microsoft Project experience

  • Experienced with data querying (Oracle, based queries) and data analysis for schedule, cost, and quality based data

  • Integrated Product Team (IPT) both contributor and leadership experience

  • Experience managing Cost Account Management (CAM) and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)

  • Experience with Department of Defense (DOD) programs
