Position Description:

The Launch Fulfillment Readiness team sits within Microsoft's Business Operations Global Launch and Planning team and is responsible for developing and delivering Readiness content for internal and external Operational audiences. This team ensures audiences are informed and are ready for changes Microsoft is making to a given product, program, process, or service.

The Readiness Content Manager will be a member of the Launch Fulfillment Readiness team and will be responsible for designing and executing on comprehensive and effective readiness plans for all launches in all Go To Market (GTM) motions through seamless collaboration with multiple groups, optimizing the customer/partner experience, and enabling time to market and time to value.

We partner with many stakeholders across Microsoft Business Operations along with Cloud and Enterprise, Worldwide Commercial Business, Universal Store Team, Regional Operations Centers, Finance, Customer Service and Support, and many more organizations to ensure we deliver a Center of Excellence for Operational Readiness.

You are a strong project/program manager and take pride in delivering high-quality, on-time, impactful results. You are tenacious in transforming and evolving the business, engaging all necessary stakeholders.

You have experience in an Operations or journalistic/editorial, readiness, or marketing environment.

You love the challenge of communicating, innovating, collaborating, and you see opportunity when others see failure.

You will own relationships with various Business and Operations groups, understanding and influencing existing processes and systems to allow for the successful design and delivery of Readiness. You will drive transformation with all stakeholders across many functional areas to lead to a Center of Excellence for modern Readiness. You will have a strong bias towards - and be passionate about - Customer Engagement

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required.
  • 6 years' minimum experience in Operations, Program Management, Project Management, Communications, Marketing, or Journalism

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong capacity for leading change, dealing with ambiguity, and providing creative solutions.

  • 6+ years of demonstrated Program, Project, Portfolio, and Process Management experience preferably in an Operations or Communications environment.

  • Able to work effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel to drive for results and solve problems.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with a preference for journalistic/editorial experience. Must be able to relate and communicate effectively at different levels across different cultures.

  • Ability to identify and implement industry best practices to improve existing processes

  • Demonstrable achievement within a results-driven, highly ambiguous, and dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrated excellence in thought leadership, execution management, conflict/negotiation management, independence, flexible, and proactive approach.

  • Project management experience and demonstrated ability to implement change.

  • High energy individual with a "can do" attitude with a strong desire to learn and evolve.

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with great sense of urgency

  • Proven ability to influence without authority.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute comprehensive and effective readiness plans, both internally and externally, across multiple launches in assigned Go To Market [GTM] motions.

  • Seamless collaboration with multiple groups across Microsoft, optimizing for the customer/partner experience and enabling faster time to market and time to value.

  • Assess and deliver on audience readiness needs, creating subject matter expertise for assigned GTMs.

  • Partner with other teams producing launch readiness content, creating and maintaining a full end-to-end view of all readiness assets to enable consistent, complementary, sequenced, and comprehensive messaging.

  • Identify improvements to the readiness processes, workflows, engagements, responsibilities, and platforms to drive efficiencies and improvements in time, quality, and customer experience.

  • Strong and continuous use of audience feedback, data analytics, and metrics to understand and measure audience behaviors driving to a Center of Excellence for Modern Readiness.
