POSITION SUMMARY
As an Operations Manager, you will oversee all activities pertaining to various departments within the facility to ensure the highest level of productivity, accuracy, and safety in a positive environment. This includes assignments from the following functional areas: receiving, inventory control, shipping, safety, facilities, quality assurance, and training and development. Clear communication to all warehouse managers and leaders is essential to maintaining efficient inbound/outbound operations during all shifts in a 24/7 environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for all departments
Develop and coach warehouse management team
Enforce all safety procedures
Conduct weekly and monthly manager meetings
Develop continuous procedural improvements
Ensure operational departments are appropriately staffed/trained
Advise and ensure personnel issues are resolved consistently
Fulfill the role of a shift/department manager when needed
Assume the duties of the DCGM in their absence
o Receiving:
§ Manage domestic and import deliveries to set expectations
§ Monitor the scheduling of all transportation needs across all shifts
§ Ensure shifts are operating consistently, efficient, and effectively
§ Manage multi-shift departments
§ Monitor various reports for accuracy
§ Ensure all SKUs are received accurately and efficiently
§ Collaborate with internal/external partners to meet business needs
§ Ensure purchase order/stocking discrepancies are resolved urgently
o Inventory:
§ ~ .75% ABS adjustments v. on hand inventory value
§ Ensure all inventory is cycled quarterly each year
§ Ensure all outlet/ebay items are listed promptly and progressive decrease in pricing is followed to quickly turn inventory
§ Ensure wrap/kit items are completed to fulfill order request
§ Ensure RAs are processed accurately and timely
o Outbound:
§ Same Day Metrics including specific time-sensitive cut-offs are met internally to deliver to our customers
§ Maintain effective quality metrics including but not limited to packer accuracy, packer scanning %, parcel/carrier damage, picking accuracy etc.
Actively engage in "MBWA" or managing by walking around and role model our cultural values
Interact with employees regularly to promote a high level of engagement and ensure all safety regulations / rules are followed
Lead weekly and monthly manager meetings to share information including metrics review, areas of improvement, employee relations issues, and updates on related projects
Maintain a high level of operating knowledge and positive employee relations by working at minimum one day each month with each department and/or shift
Role model effective communication with external departments / contacts and vendors; manage partnerships concerning supplies, building maintenance, etc.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a supply chain role
Minimum of 1 year of successful experience leading and managing a team of direct and indirect reports
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience exercising the aptitude to understand data to make data-driven decisions
Experience working in a distribution environment preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
Superior verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understanding
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and high emotional intelligence
Strong knowledge and passion for company culture
Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, overnight, and holidays,
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is performed while sitting, standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
Requires the ability to regularly lift / carry 50-75lbs. and push / pull up to 150lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
May require occasional travel to other facilities within the distribution network
