  • Executes operating plan and communicates strategy to operations team. Responsible for one or more functions across one or more sites. Manages supervisors and/or individual contributors.

  • Manages and is responsible for achieving desired business results. Acts as a senior point of escalation and resolves exceptions.

    May process and/or reconcile transactions of varying risk and financial value in accordance with established policies and procedures. May interact with customers and/or third parties in completing transactions or resolving escalated issues.

  • Manages all human resources related activities for direct and indirect reports and maintains employee engagement. Provides coaching and development to team members. Leads staff meetings, communicates strategy and translates into tactical operating plans.

  • Provides consultation and advice to service partners and customers. Identifies and influences strategic improvement initiatives and serves as a representative for operations group on projects.

    Develops and/or approves standard operating procedures as appropriate. Recommends policy improvements.

  • Oversees the control framework for unit(s) of responsibility. Reviews reports to identify exceptions, monitor quality and ensure compliance.

    Manages and is accountable for risk mitigation and business resiliency activities. Verifies completeness and accuracy of procedures. May review transactions and related documents. Verifies work processes to ensure completeness, accuracy and conformance to established service levels and applicable procedures.

The Director, Pharmacovigilance Evaluation andReporting (PVER) Analysis and Reporting Operations Head will be responsible forthe systems, tools, and processes that enable the scientific analysis andreporting responsibilities of the group in order to maintain regulatorycompliance and produce high quality safety evaluations. The position will represent grouprequirements for systems and tools and will be accountable for efficientdocumentation and archival of Safety Management Team documents and aggregatesafety reports that are submitted to Health Authorities. The systems and toolsmay include the global safety database repository, aggregate report calendar,and workflow management tool. The position will also be responsible for metrics,post-marketing exposure, process efficiency/improvement, and proceduremanagement. The position will be a member of the PVER leadership team and willinclude direct reports. Responsibilities: * Develop strategyfor PVER systems and tools and ensure implementation * Manage the aggregate report calendar and negotiatewith internal partners to align off-cycle reports and meet health authorityrequirements * Implementworkflow management tool * Partner withinternal and vendor team on global safety database repository * Develop andmaintain an efficient documentation and archival process for SMT documents andaggregate safety reports * Strategize,develop opportunities for, and oversee processes and deliverables * Metrics * Exposure * Procedural documents * People Management * Serves as front-line for PV audits andinspections Qualifications * Advanceddegree preferred. Bachelor's degree required. * Atleast 9 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance, Aggregate Reporting, orcomparable regulated environment with operational leadership in amulti-function organization preferred * Atleast 6 years of experience leading in a global organization preferred * Experiencein the areas of systems, workflow management, project management, quality,metrics, process excellence, and documentation/archival is preferred * Peoplemanagement experience preferred * Subject matter expertise helpful to succeed in thisrole: * Knowledge of global regulatory framework for aggregate safety reports * Experience in developing aggregate safety reports (e.g., PBRER) * Attentionto detail along with strong analytical and conceptual skills * Understandaspects and methods for data analysis, interpretation and presentation * Ability to effectively interact with externalstakeholders, including business partners * Ability to manage/lead in a matrix environment,proven leadership skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to plan work to meet deadlines andeffectively handle multiple priorities * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Johnson & Johnson is anAffirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
