Operations Manager

Job Description:

• This Operations Manager position is in support of the Naval Sea Systems Command Code 03S (NAVSEA 03S) Digital Industrial Operations (DIO)Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution (NMMES) Program.

• NMMES is composed of IT systems, applications, networks, and data centers that serve as business operations and financial management tools for over 45,000 users executing Navy ship and submarine maintenance, overhaul, and repair at facilities across the United States and worldwide.

• The Operations Manager will support the NMMES Program Office as part of the Infrastructure and Operations Support Team in Norfolk, VA.

Position expectations and duties include the following:

• Manages computer operations in conjunction with database administrators, system administrators, and various data center personnel.

• Ensures production schedules are met.

• Ensures computer system resources are used effectively.

• Coordinates the resolution of production-related problems.

• Ensures proper relationships are established between customers, teaming partners and vendors to facilitate the delivery of information technology services.

• Provides users with computer output.

• Supervises staff operations.

• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and independently performs a wide variety of complicated tasks.

• May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist.

• May lead and direct the work of others.

Required Skills and Experiences:

• At least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area within DoD/Navy programs, and

• At least 3 years of managerial experience.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• A secret security clearance.
