Responsibilities:

At Office Depot and Office Max, Operations Manageris responsible for freight and logistics activities within the store. This person will partner with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to provide guidance to Logistics associates by facilitating some training; providing positive and constructive feedback, and the appropriate level of coaching required from a Lead.

In partnership with the management team, S/he will also maintain loss prevention compliance, store visual and merchandising standards. The Operations Manager, will also play a Leader on Duty role and proactively engage with customers to exceed their needs and work to generate revenue by driving a sales culture. The Operations Manager will also be a Key Carrierand while functioning in this role, will be considered the Leader on Duty.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent experience; Bachelor'sdegree preferred

Other Information:

  • Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or other related field preferred

  • Minimum two years of experience in retail, supervisory experience in a sales driven customer oriented environmen

The Production Manager reports to the Production Lead and assists the Production Lead with all facets of field and plant production operations. The Production Manager has leadership responsibility for site technicians and is a member of a team that strives for safety, product quality, and process optimization and is expected to get results through influencing others, personal proficiency, and modeling company values. The Production Manager participates as a member of the Site Leadership Team and will maintain a strong relationship with the team and other site personnel. They will support operations at the site and help resolve production challenges. The successful candidate will need to be able to adapt quickly to changes in our business, courageously face new challenges and opportunities and leverage the talents, skills and resources of team members and peers. Key Responsibilities: * Influences others through motivation, recognition, leadership, and development * Directs field operations such as planting, detasseling, field inspections, harvest, etc. * Directs plant operations such as conditioning, packaging, lab operations, warehouse / inventory management / distribution, carryover, etc. * Participates in and helps lead the Monsanto ESH and Quality Management System (QMS) elements and programs and associated networks * Supports compliance with Global Stewardship and Corporate Quality Management procedures and policies in addition to Crop Level and site specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) * Identifies and implements operational improvements, metrics tracking, best practices and participates in related networks for cross sharing * Foster employee empowerment and engagement as part of the Monsanto Production System (MPS) and the site's tier meeting structure * Collaborates with site leadership to on-board and develop new talent Required Skills/Experience: * Bachelor's degree * 3 years experience in a manufacturing, agricultural, engineering, technical, or related environment * Demonstrated ability to lead and coach people and teams * Results oriented leadership approach * Capability to clearly present information and influence or persuade others through verbal or written communications * Ability to make decisions and solve problems while exhibiting situational judgment Desired Skills/ Experience: * Experience with production agriculture, seed manufacturing * Experience in working and/or leading in a matrix environment * Computer proficiencies to include SAP * Knowledge of process improvement principles such as Lean, Six Sigma Bayer successfully completed the acquisition of Monsanto in June 2018, bringing together Monsanto's leadership in seeds and plant traits with Bayer's leadership in chemical and biological crop protection.
