The National Solutions Operation at Leidos currently has an opening for an Operations Manager in a mission operations environment. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience and provide support to the Department of Defense's mission.
This position will be part of mission operations and will be operating in a fast paced operations environment. The candidate should be well versed in infrastructure operations and will be responsible for overseeing the investigation and resolution of problems for systems. The Operations Manager will work with the Program Manager and Deputy PM to evaluate alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems.
Duties include performing systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance. The Ops Manager will: Influence development of solutions that impact strategic project/program goals and business results; Recommend and develops new technical solutions, products, and/or standards in support of function's strategy and operations; and Lead and manage works of other technical staff that has significant impact on project results/outputs.
The ideal candidate will have the experience resolving highly complex problems using significant application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation. They will develop solutions that are highly innovative, and achieved through research and integration of best practices.
BS degree and 12 - 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 - 13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
US Citizenship and an Active TS/SCI Clearance w/ Polygraph required.
Must have experience with physical and virtual servers
Experience working with technologies and products that include Microsoft, RHEL, CentOS, Solaris, Mac OS, Oracle/SPARC, and VMWare
Experience managing large teams supporting IT functions
