Job Description:

The Information Security team seeks a high-energy, motivated individual who combines solid technical credentials with a high degree of business acumen for the position of Operations Manager Identity and Access Management within our Identity and Access Management team. In this role, you will collaborate with TR leadership, technology teams, business partners, and trusted third party providers to ensure secure and reliable services.

This is not your average IAM team. We are completely transforming our entire IAM stack and modernizing how we protect and enable our company. A successful candidate for this role will have hands on experience in implementing and supporting IAM solutions across the board. We are looking for the right candidate who can coordinate, manage, and drive continuous improvement for all our IAM services in partnership with our engineering and operations teams. These solutions will span Thomson Reuters data centers, colo's, and cloud services worldwide to support our diverse set of users and businesses.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own and advance our entire IAM operations teams to ensure continuous service improvement and mature transition of new IAM engineering capability.

  • Evangelize rigorous identity and access management capability for our key consumers.

  • Partner with key organizational stakeholders and represent IAM operations on incidents calls and reviews.

  • Ensure IAM operations teams address issues in a timely and consistent manner.

  • Focus on root cause of issues and foundational improvements as new IAM solutions are introduced and adopted.

  • Partner with Cloud and Data Center Engineers to develop long-term implementation approaches for IAM to leverage new technology offerings for automated deployments and monitoring.

  • Proactively monitor and coordinate cross-organizational system integration touch points to reduce or eliminate unexpected or unanticipated breakdowns.

  • Research emerging trends in software development and platforms; evaluate their use within IAM.

  • Interact with technology peers to make technical recommendations for application development.

  • Create appropriate documentation and artifacts as necessary.

  • Effectively communicate timely and accurate status information to leadership teams.

  • Take personal responsibility to impact results, deliver on commitments, and reduce costs.

  • Communicate solutions, implementation direction, and technology strategy through formal and informal means to executives, technology management, peers, and development staff.

  • Willingness to adjust scheduled as needed to support critical issues in partnership with operations teams.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related or BS/BA and equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years of design and implementation experience in the identity space; experience with Identity Access Management and associated technologies. E.g. Sailpoint, Ping, CyberArk, Venafi, and AWS, and Microsoft solutions

  • 5+ years of information security experience in firms with a global presence.

  • Multi-Factor authentication implementation experience leveraging both PKI and one time password based technologies.

  • Hands on experience with IAM technologies and ability to drive teams to technical resolution and root cause resolution.

  • Deep understanding of identity solutions leveraging Microsoft technology such as Active Directory, Azure AD and ADFS.

  • Experience with cloud identity platforms for both direct integration with cloud services and extension to traditional data centers.

  • Strong background in change management, KPI's, and KRI's as they relate to IAM operations.

  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills to reach binding agreement on implementation approaches for technical issues.

  • Strong analytical skills to breakdown issues to aid in troubleshooting and identify root problems.

  • Very strong interpersonal and communications skills (including oral, written as well as listening proficiency).

  • Strong issue resolution and conflict resolutions skills.

  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to solve complex problems independently and to generate creative solutions.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience providing oversight of 3rd party IAM vendors.

In this role, you will collaborate with technology peers and business partners to plan and design solutions surrounding Identity Access Management (IAM). Holistic identity governance has been defined as a strategic direction for Thomson Reuters and a cornerstone of security for both infrastructure and product. A successful candidate for this role will provide design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of Identity and Access Management programs to support the company's strategy. This vision will be implemented in Thomson Reuters data centers, in cloud services world-wide and will be leveraged by a diverse set of enterprise technologies across all business units. Primary Responsibilities: * Design and Implement standards and process for access enforcement, access governance, authentication, application authorization. * Analyze, engineer, and implement highly complex enterprise level (global) directory integrations with an identity governance platform. * Design and implement identity governance workflows with the concepts of audit and attestation in mind. * Provide input on new technology and ensure effective integration with other pieces of the technical infrastructure. * Seek opportunities for process improvements, recommending and contributing to solutions by developing risk and opportunity plans. * Partner with IAM/Directory Services operations & architecture, as well as architects and engineers from connected technical teams. * Coordinate with OS/App teams and provide guidance and support for issue resolution as needed. * Participate in capacity planning, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure high availability of identity & directory services. * Act as a project lead or project team member on projects involving Identity & Directory services. * Deliver process improvements utilizing SailPoint. Required Skills: * Real world experience with Identity & Directory platforms and authentication technologies such as SAML, LDAP, Kerberos, NTLM, IBM ISIM, SailPoint, Microsoft Active Directory. * Familiarity with Cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, & Google. * Identity Management familiarity in one or more of the following areas: * Access Certification * Provisioning/De- Provisioning * Application On-boarding * Single Sign On * Identity Federation * Privileged Access Management * Multi-factor authentication * General understanding of ITIL process * Strong issue resolution and conflict resolutions skills * 2+ years plus experience in documenting, developing, or implementing IAM systems. * 5+ years plus with technical experience integrating identity management, access management and access governance software into enterprise infrastructure and applications. * 5+ years plus experience with installation, integration and deployment of technology products (Security and/or IAM would be a bonus) * 7+ years IT or IT Security experience * CISSP, CISM, and/or ITIL certification in good standing highly preferred. * General understanding of process improvement.
