Position Summary The Operations Manager for Oncology Services serves as the lead expert in data analytics, process improvement, oncology payment models, strategic project management and compliance from governing and accrediting bodies. This position ensures operational excellence of the ONCOlog registry system, oncology EPIC reporting, and related PowerBI dashboards. Ensures accuracy, integrity, validity, reliability, and consistency in interdepartmental support and strategy, data management, and data analysis practices. This position supports all data collection and management for EOM and Oncology Bundled Payment Models. This position will serve as the lead process improvement and project management specialist for the oncology division. The Operations Manager for Oncology Services will lead the cancer data management and oncology clinical performance departments and will report directly to the System Director for Oncology Services. This position will serve to meet the operational and analytical needs of medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, oncology support services, BJCBH, oncology rehab services, and clinical research [Pharmacy Services as needed]. This position will also be responsible for targeting new areas for potential growth within the oncology division to generate new streams of revenue as well as focusing on existing services offered and their potential for growth and increased revenue. Once areas for operational and financial growth are established.#The Operations Manager for Oncology Services will serve as an advisor to executives and project lead as needed. Minimum Requirements Education
, BS in Business Administration, or related field Experience
5+ years working in an integrated healthcare system setting 3+ years in a progressive management role in a healthcare setting License/Registration/Certifications# Certified Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or related certification Other: Expert user of MS Office Suite Preferred Requirements Preferred Education
, MHA, or related field Preferred Experience 6 # 8 years working in an integrated healthcare system setting 5+ years in a progressive management role in a healthcare setting, preferably in Oncology Preferred License/Registration/Certifications# Certified Lean/Six Sigma Blackbelt PMP CPHQ Knowledge of SQL and EPIC Reporting Core Job Responsibilities Leads and manages the Cancer Data Management team Serves as the point person and lead for Oncology specific accreditation management (i.e., ACS-CoC, ACR, QOPI, etc.) Serves as a consultant and working team member for CMS#s Enhanced Oncology Model or bundled payment implementation management to leverage data to increase quality of care and reimbursement rates working with the department of payor strategy Serves as a consultant and working team member regarding data analytics to drive the Radiation Oncology Bundled Payment Model to increase revenue and patient quality. Serves as a SME regarding oncology quality Provides year-round analytic reports to executive leadership regarding (but not limited to): cancer trends by disease site, survival trends by disease site, staging trends/shifts, and new cancer case volumes/growth. Serves as a consultant to company leadership to investigate and report data/information on new technologies to drive growth through innovation and strategic insight. Manages the strategic capital budgeting processes and forecasting for all departments reporting to the Vice President of Oncology and Support Services. Serves as the project lead/administrator for all Oncology related reporting and PowerBI projects Serves as a general project manager for Oncology related projects Works within a cross-functional environment with departments such as Corporate Quality, Payor Strategy, Finance/Accounting, Regional HealthPlus to achieve strategic goals for growth. Serves as a project/process improvement manager, consultant to oncology directors and physicians, provides quality training as needed, assists with cost reduction and revenue increasing strategies.
