SUMMARY

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the general operations of inventory, receiving, warehousing, and fulfillment activities. This position will work collaboratively with the Pharmacist in Charge to help target day-to-day stock production activities at the facility and develop policies, procedures and the business work plan for the team. Contributes to innovative initiatives to automate workflows, improve customer service levels, and increase attention to environmental, health and safety issues throughout the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Leads day-to-day Pick/Pack/Ship operations

  • Oversees production volume to ensure service standards are met

  • Monitors productivity and performance standards, plans and directs workflow and project assignments.

  • Partners with Pharmacist in Charge to analyze operations and overall efficiencies of the pharmacy.

  • Implements programs, processes and operational improvements to enhance the level of internal and external customer service provided.

  • Serves as a point of escalation for issues requiring a higher degree of expertise or discretion to resolve.

  • Conducts hiring and training of staff for warehouse and order fulfillment operations

  • Collaborates with Quality Assurance to help coordinate training

  • Schedules and monitors staff and day to day workflow

  • Develops, tracks and monitors employee service and production standards

  • Monitors adherence to corporate attendance and employment policies

  • Develops employee's skills, evaluate performance and provide feedback

  • Represents operations in cross-functional meetings and projects.

  • Develops SOPs and environmental/health/and safety training for warehouse and fulfillment staff within the context of a specialty compounding operation

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors' Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years relevant experience in a warehouse/fulfillment environment. Supervisor experience preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Six Sigma Certification and experience is preferred.

COMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES)

  • Proven production and fulfillment experience.

  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-growth environment and be flexible to take on new and added responsibilities in alignment with our rapidly expanding business needs.

  • Demonstrated success in leading operations to achieve improved performance and profitability.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in managing and improving operations, employee safety, quality, and packaging for consumers.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office, Internet, and email; use of ERP and reporting systems and platforms a plus.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills including ability to effectively develop, assist, train and coach less experienced team members with the patience to explain details and processes repeatedly.

  • Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions.

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule during peak times.
